Overview
The Swamp Shooting Gallery is located in the Road to Southern Swamp. It is a Shooting Range with an enclosure surrounded by mangrove and Palm Trees. The completion of the Swamp Shooting Gallery is tied to the "Swamp Shooting Champ" Event.
Gameplay and Rules
The Swamp Shooting Gallery involves shooting various Enemies that are constantly moving in various formations within 1:40:00.[2] Once started, the timer will emit a beep every two seconds, falling on an odd number. If the timer falls below 00:10:00, it will turn red and emit a beep every second. The Swamp Shooting Gallery can only be played as a Human, as only Hylian Link can wield a Bow.[3]
The Enemies that appear will award Points when shot, ranging from 30 to 100 Points each. The Enemies and their values are:
- Enemy values
-
Deku Scrub
30 Points -
Guay
60 Points -
Wolfos
100 Points
The Enemies appear in waves heralded by a whistle. Some Enemies will only appear briefly before leaving the shooting range. If Link fails to hit every Deku Scrub or Mad Scrub from a single wave, they will remain in the next wave. The Wolfos that appear will run forward and briefly stop somewhere in the enclosure before moving on.
Link is given an infinite amount of Arrows for the Mini-Game and does not receive a penalty for missing a shot. If Link manages to shoot every Enemy, he will win the Mini-Game with a "perfect" score of 2,120 Points, plus an additional 10 Points for each second remaining on the timer. However, if Link does not hit every Enemy within the time limit, he will lose the Mini-Game.[4] Losing with a score of 2,000 or higher will earn Link a free retry.[5]
