Seera is the Gerudo Chief, and she resides in the Gerudo Palace in Gerudo Town. She is also the mother to Dohna, the captain of the Gerudo Soldiers, who is her heir.[4][5] Seera works alongside her advisor Facette, and the two often have strategy meetings with each other.[6] She also utilizes the Gerudo Palace to host assemblies for the residents of Gerudo Town.[7] Several of the Gerudo express their admiration and respect of Seera.[8][9][10] She carries a large Spear.
When Dohna was a child, Seera would take her to play in the Water of the Oasis, where she would advise Dohna to keep her heart and mind calm.[2] Prior to Princess Zelda's arrival in the Gerudo Desert, Rifts began forming around Gerudo Town. Following Facette's advice, Seera ordered that the entrance to Gerudo Sanctum be buried with Sand in order to block the Monsters that would emerge from the Rift.[11][12]
During the Main Quest "A Rift in the Gerudo Desert", Dohna suggests that she and Zelda meet with Seera to discuss granting her access to Gerudo Sanctum.[13] When Zelda arrives at Gerudo Palace, Facette will be briefing Seera that the number of Monsters emerging from the Gerudo Sanctum has decreased.[14] Dohna introduces Zelda to Seera, and she requests that the entrance to Gerudo Sanctum be cleared so that she can mend the Rift.[15] Although Facette scolds Dohna and reminds her that defeating Monsters will fix the Rifts, Seera tells her to be calm.[16] Seera empathizes with the struggles of the Gerudo Soldiers, but she asks for proof of Zelda's ability to mend Rifts.[17] When Dohna cannot answer, Seera then questions why they should trust Zelda.[18] Dohna insists that she is going to prove Zelda is telling the truth and runs out of the Palace.[19] If Zelda speaks to Seera after this, she dismisses Zelda and has Facette continue her report.[20]
After Zelda has completed the Main Quests "Southern Gerudo Desert Rift", "Southern Oasis Ruins Rift", and "Ancestor's Cave of Rest Rift", Facette summons her and Dohna back to Gerudo Palace for an update on their progress.[21] When the two of them appear before Seera, Facette asks if they have managed to find proof of Zelda's abilities.[22] Dohna is forced to admit she has not, and Facette claims she is being deceived.[23] In response, Dohna brings up how the Gerudo Soldiers have been suffering, and she offers to take responsibility for whatever happens if Zelda is allowed access to Gerudo Sanctum.[24] Seera asks Dohna to confirm that she is willing to risk her honor as a warrior for Zelda's sake.[25] She notes how strong Dohna has become, and since she also wants to help the Gerudo Soldiers, she decides to trust Zelda as well.[26]
Facette is outraged by this, and she claims that they will be overrun by Monsters if Gerudo Sanctum's entrance is restored.[27] Dohna offers to hold back the Monsters,[28] and a group of Gerudo Soldiers arrive to offer their support to her.[29] As a result, Seera asks Facette if she is willing to listen to Zelda now.[30] However, Facette refuses, and she insults Seera while continuing to insist Zelda is lying.[31] She attempts to have Zelda imprisoned, which Seera is shocked by.[32] At that moment, another Gerudo Soldier enters the Palace and approaches Seera with news.[33] Several Soldiers were stolen away when the Rift at the Desert Temple Ruins expanded, and Seera demands that the Gerudo Soldier take her there.[34] As she leaves, she rallies the gathered Gerudo Soldiers to come with her.[35] Facette attempts to convince her to stay,[36] but Seera and the Soldiers leave. Dohna and Facette both follow them to the Ruins.[37]
Seera can next be found arguing with Facette at the Desert Temple Ruins. She demands to know why the Rift has expanded, when Facette has claimed fighting Monsters would cause it to shrink.[38] Facette speculates that they have not defeated enough Monsters and tries to urge Seera to return to Gerudo Town.[39] Seera is outraged by this, as she refuses to leave the missing Gerudo Soldiers behind.[40]
When Zelda Warps back to the Desert Temple Ruins after mending the Rift, Seera is surprised by her sudden appearance. She and Dohna both express their shock that Zelda was able to get rid of the Rift.[41] Facette tries to leave without being noticed, but when a Gerudo Soldier spots her, she excuses herself by saying Gerudo Palace should not be left unguarded.[42] At that moment, a second Facette approaches the Ruins, and Seera's shout causes the group to look at her.[43] This new Facette asks Seera and Dohna what happened, but Dohna asks for her story first.[44] She explains that she fell into the Still World while she was investigating the Rift, and Seera then becomes suspicious of the first Facette.[45] She tries to convince Seera that Facette is a Monster, but Seera no longer trusts her.[46] This Facette then reveals herself to be an impostor and begins to flee.[47] However, Seera chases after her and strikes her with her Spear, causing her to disappear.[48][49]
Now aware that she was being deceived by an impostor, Seera realizes that many of Facette's actions since the Rifts appeared have been strange.[50] She also notes that her idea to burying Gerudo Sanctum's entrance only came about after she heard of Suthorn Forest's Rift being mended, which must have been because she wanted to stop Zelda from accessing the Rift.[51] Dohna questions what her motivation was, and Seera explains that she likely wanted to prevent the Rift from being mended.[52] She apologizes to Zelda for her treatment so far, granting her permission to enter Gerudo Sanctum so that she can save the Gerudo.[53] She explains that it was buried by plugging the Sand at its entrance from the Cryptic Cavern, stopping it from draining.[54] She then instructs two Gerudo Soldiers to inform the Cavern's guard of how the situation has changed.[55] After they leave, Seera tells Zelda to enter Gerudo Sanctum when she is ready, saying that they are relying on her.[56] At this point, Seera and the real Facette will return to Gerudo Palace, where she will repeat this sentiment if Zelda speaks to her.[57]
When Zelda returns to Gerudo Town after clearing Gerudo Sanctum and mending the Desert's Rift, she meets with Seera and Dohna on top of Gerudo Palace. Seera remarks on how happy the Gerudo are,[58] and she and Dohna both thank her for saving Gerudo Desert.[59] Seera also acknowledges Dohna's determination to help Zelda, and she states that she is ready to become the Gerudo Chief.[4] Dohna is shocked by this, though she appreciates her mother's sentiment.[60] Since Zelda is going to continue mending Rifts, Seera states that she will pray for her.[61]
After "A Rift in the Gerudo Desert" has been completed, Seera will return to her Throne in Gerudo Palace. If Zelda talks to Seera, she welcomes her to visit Gerudo Town whenever she wants to, as the Gerudo owe her for her help.[62] When Zelda approaches her once "Still Missing" has been finished, Seera welcome her and remarks that she is glad to see her.[63] During the Side Quest "Dohna's Challenge", Dohna reveals that Seera recently had her improve the Treasury's security.[64]
While the Credits play, Seera and Dohna can be seen giving a speech to the Gerudo Soldiers in their barracks.

I must thank you as well, Dohna, my daughter. Your determination and your love for our people have saved this town.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom)Aw, Mother...
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom)You've grown so much. In fact, I think you are already capable of being chief.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
So, little one? who do you think the next chief will be? You think it'll be Dohna, don't you?

Chief Seera and Lady Facette hold a lot of strategy discussions in the palace. So long as they're around, we Gerudo will continue to thrive!

Have you seen our town's pride and joy, the palace? It's the huge building just north of here! Our chief, Seera, holds assemblies for all of us Gerudo there.

Everyone has so much respect for Chief Seera... She moves through the world with such certainty. I wish I could be half as confident as her...

Chief Seera's statue shines so brightly today. I still can't believe she has it closed up here. It's a monument to her inauguration! Her brilliance! I guess it makes sense—she's always been so humble... Ah, she is such an amazing leader.
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I must polish Chief Seera's statue until it shines! Can't believe this was supposed to be in the middle of town. It's nothing compared to the chief herself, who shines as bright as the sun!

[Why is it blocked up?] The sanctum was pulled into a large rift... After that, tons of monsters began swarming out of the entrance to the sanctum. At that point, we blocked up the entrance, trapping the monsters inside.
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
[How can we clear it?] A soldier is guarding the back entrance. If we go through there, we could clear the sand out. Of course, doing that would release the monsters as well. Our chief gave orders to keep it blocked for safety. So I'm not sure how to proceed...
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
In order to get rid of the rift, you need to get into the sanctum, right? Understood. Well then, it sounds like we need to discuss things with the chief. You saved my life, so I'll do all I can to help you. And if you're able to get rid of the rift, that means our warriors won't be injured anymore...
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Chief Seera. I have a report concerning the blocked up entrance to the sanctum. As predicted, the number of monsters is dwindling.
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Chief, this is the Hylian I was telling you about. With her help, we may be able to get rid of the giant rift here in our desert. But in order to do that, she'll need to get into the sanctum. If she can get rid of the rift as she claims, we'll finally be done with this long battle. To this end, will you please restore the entrance to the sanctum?
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Captain Dohna! Do you comprehend what it is you are asking? If you recall, after the sanctum was consumed by the rift, the surge in monsters began. For the town's safety, we blocked the sanctum's entrance to prevent monsters from pouring out. Since then, we've been eradicating the rest of the monsters, which will fix the rift. After that, we'll reclaim the sanctum. That was the plan. Or have you forgotten?!
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom)Of course not. Facette, many of my warriors have been injured, and the monsters keep coming. To top it off, we've defeated countless monsters, yet the rift doesn't appear to be shrinking at all. We should be acting with urgency to be rid of the rift as soon as possible! And Zelda can help.
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom)You can't expect us to trust this total stranger. We don't even know where she comes from! You're the chief's daughter—I'm shocked by your severe lack of judgement.
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom)Peace, Facette.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Dohna, I understand the concern you feel for the warriors. I feel each injury to our warriors as though it was my own. That said. Have you seen this Hylian eradicate a rift?
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I...
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom)You have only just met this stranger yourself. How can you tell us to trust her?
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I will prove what Zelda says is true!
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom)You will be wasting your time. This Hylian is clearly deceiving you!
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom)She saved my life. How dare you speak of her like that! I trust Zelda. And I will prove that she can get rid of rifts!
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I have no time for entertaining strangers. Facette, continue your report.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Captain Dohna! We've received a message from Lady Facette. She wants to know whether or not you've been able to see evidence of Zelda's powers yet. She commands that you bring the Hylian and provide her a status update.
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Tell us, Captain Dohna. Have you managed to find proof that she can fix the rifts?
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
No, not yet. But if you would listen to what she has to say, then you'll—
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom)So you have returned to us with nothing, after swearing you would find proof of her capabilities. Clearly, this is some sort of joke. This stranger has you entirely deceived.
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I can't stand by while my warriors—my friends—are being wounded on the battlefield! I trust Zelda, and I know she can get rid of the rifts! We just have to give her the chance. I'll take full responsibility for whatever happens. Please, Chief Seera, let us enter the sanctum!
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Dohna. You are willing to risk your honor as a warrior to place your trust in this person?
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
You've grown so strong, my daughter. I, too, can no longer stand by while my people suffer. Seeing you put your honor on the line inspires me to place my own trust in this person.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Chief Seera, you cannot be serious! If we remove the sand from the sanctum, we will once again be overwhelmed by monsters!
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Do you forget that I'm a warrior, Facette? I will hold the monsters at bay.
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
We overheard your discussion. Chief Seera, Lady Facette. This young lady has helped all of us.
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom)She helped me at the cave of our ancestors.
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom)And she aided us as well. If she's able to rid us of these horrible rifts, then we'll do all we can to support her.
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom)Captain Dohna, we stand at your side.
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Hm. Facette. You heard our warrior. Are you now willing to hear this Zelda out?
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Of course not! What are you saying? What a wretched excuse for a chief... She is trying to deceive you—to take advantage of you! Can you not see her true character?!
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Guards! This girl has ill intentions and is here to deceive us Gerudo! Throw her in jail at once!
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom)Facette! What are you doing?!
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Chief Seera! We've got trouble!
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
What is it?
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom)A rift at the ruins in the eastern desert grew, and a bunch of our warriors were taken by it!
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom)Take me there at once, soldier!
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom)Yes, Chief Seera!
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Onward, warriors!
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom)Of course, Chief Seera!
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Chief Seera! Please, you must wait! You can't go rushing into the fray like this, so ill-equipped!
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Warriors were swallowed up by the rift that grew larger in the eastern part of the desert. Chief Seera rushed from the palace in a panic, with Dohna following after her.
— Adventure Log (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Facette. Following your counsel, we have tirelessly worked to defeat the monsters. Tell me, then: Why has this rift gotten bigger?
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Perhaps we have yet to defeat enough monsters. Chief Seera, it's dangerous here. Let us return to the palace with haste!
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Don't be absurd! Our soldiers have been taken! Do you really think I'd leave them behind?!
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
She really did it? The rift... It's...
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom)It's gone!
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Facette? Where are you going?
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom)We shouldn't leave the palace unguarded... I must hurry back.
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Facette?!
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Chief Seera! Captain Dohna! What has happened?
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom)We're wondering the same... How did you get here?
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I was... I was looking into the rifts here in the desert... And...and then... Oh yes! Then I was pulled into a rift!
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom)I see...
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Chief Seera. I recommend extreme caution. She came out of the rift, after all. She could be some kind of monster. Yes, that's what she is!
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom)You don't actually think I trust you, do you?
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Grah!
— Facette (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
You're not going anywhere!
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Where did she go?!
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom)She vanished?!
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
So she was a fraud, after all. Facette made many questionable remarks ever since the rifts appeared. She spoke of a legend that promised defeating monsters would eliminate the rifts.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Burying the entrance to the sanctum was also her idea...
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom)And she only suggested it once she heard that the rift in the forest had been eradicated. Now that I reflect upon it, she must've intended to keep Zelda away from the rift.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
But why?
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom)Because she didn't want the rifts to be fixed. All of here deceits were to that end.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Zelda. Although we were deceived by the falce Facette, I apologize for how we treated you. You have my permission to restore the entrance to the sanctum, and you have my blessing. I know it is selfish for me to ask, but you must use your power to help me and my people.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
The entrance to the sanctum sits at the base of a quicksand flow in the southern desert. The cave that drained the sand was plugged, causing the flow to submerge the entrance.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Go speak to the guard at the cave, and tell her what has transpired.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom)Yes, Chief Seera!
— Gerudo Soldier (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Once you are ready, please head to the sanctum. We're counting on you, Zelda.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Once you feel ready, please head to the sanctum. We're counting on you.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Everyone is in good spirits.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Zelda, allow me to express my deepest gratitude. Thank you for helping us.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom)Yes, yes! Thank you so much, Zelda! Because of you, we took decisive action, and our desert is saved.
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
What! Not yet, right?! I mean... There's still so much I have to learn! But thank you, Mother. It feels good to hear you say that.
— Dohna (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Zelda, you intend to continue traveling and fixing rifts, yes? I will pray for your success.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Ah, Zelda. We Gerudo owe you a great debt. You are welcome to visit whenever you please.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Ah, Zelda. It's good to see you. The Gerudo people welcome you with open arms anytime.
— Seera (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Since you left, I've been hard at work as captain of the guard. Just the other day, Chief Seera ordered tightened security on the treasury, which I've improved.
