Gerudo?

Is it possible the Twili are the Gerudo, transformed after OoT, when Ganon is banished to the Sacred Realm?

The Twili are most likely from long before ocarina of Time. Also Midna is the only female Twili we ever see. It is totally impossible. Okay I like how you point out that Minda is the only female Twili we see. This could mean that Twili are based off a opposite system of the Geurodoes where in only one female is born every blah blah years. This is total theory. Cloakblade (talk) 09:02, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Personally, I think that the Gerudo ARE the Twili. Why do you think that the Twili were banished before Ocarina? it's already been stated and more-so proven that games such as The Minish Cap, Fourswords & Fourswords Adventures came before Ocarina, when Ganon wasn't even an enemy or mentioned at all. In games when Hyrule was complete, as we all know after Ocarina of Time, things get a little messy and evolved in terms of character and also plot. The Gerudo aren't in Twilight Princess, the mirror of the Twight is in their own land, at least Midna herself has Gingery/Orange hair, as do the Gerudo, and she also states
"You want to know why none would call you king? It was your eyes, Zant. All saw it, a lust for power burning in your pupils... Did you think we'd forget our ancestors who lost their king to such greed?"
Her ancestors, the Gerudo, lost their King; Ganon (King of the Gerudo) to greed. Because of the events of Ocarina, and the fact that even though he was given a second chance due to the reset timeline, he still tried to gain power, and was lost or "trapped" in the Twilight realm; along with the Twilight, his own lost race of people. However, that still means there are some mess-ups. Why are the Twilight reffered to as Magic users? They are aren't they? And were the Gerudo? I'm not too sure, from all the reading, getting mixed up with Tribes and characters is pretty easy. Anyway, I still personally think they are. Twilight Princess is mirrored to The Wind Waker, which happened "hundreds of years" after Ocarina of Time, therefore, lots of changes could have occured. When Was it Confirmed?

In this article it says that Ocarina of Time was "offically" put in the first slot of the timeline. I have nothing against this theory but ZeldaWiki must remain neurtal on Subjects like Timelines; so unless there is offical information that confirms this i would like that part to be deleted. Twili Clothes

We've all seen the twili in their normal forms. It occurred to me a little while ago that the dark patches on their skin aren't actually any pigmentation, but what the Twili wear for clothing: shadows. As fabric would be scarce (and immensily expensive) at best in the Twilight Realm, the twili must have used their shadow magic to weave them a "second skin" of shadows.
Go and take a look at some of the twili. You can see some hair on their head, covered by that "shadow colth" almost like by a hood. And the reason why we've only seen Midna and Zant wearing Twili clothes? They're royalty. Midna has a simple robe (and a very sexy one at that), while Zant, true to his presumably vain nature, has a full outfit complete with armor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.114.41.42 23:57, 18 August 2007

I agree with the person who said the Twili used shadows as their clothing. If they didn't, wouldn't Twilight Princess have been rated M or worse? After all, if the dark patches were skin, Midna didn't wear anything throughout the game. I think this theory should be added to the article. Theory

I have this crazy theory. I think that somehow the twili are cross breeds of Hylians and Some type of spirit, meaning they're half spiritual beings. That a group of Hylians found the twilight realm but couldn't find there way back, and that they mated with some kind of shadow spirits native to the realm. if this theory is so crazy that you want to strangle me, tell me on my talk page. --Claire (talk) 06:56, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Well it's been confirmed by the story themselves that they were a species that were banished and they were deformed or whatever. So whatever species they were they never crossbreeded, just adapted to their new environment. --Green (talk) 08:34, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Zant Image

Could someone find a bigger, better version of the Zant image on this page (Unmasked zant.jpg), in about the same aspect ratio, but bigger and better quality? Also, we should switch the Minda and Zant images places on this page. The Midna image is too big a spoiler to have at the top of the page. Right now it is like: "Spoiler warning! Oops... Too late. You've just seen the biggest spoiler on the page. Oh ,well." That is not a good thing. 17:10, August 13, 2008 (UTC)
I am so glad that the first time I saw Minda's true form was in the end of the game itself! I was determined not to look up anything on Twilight Princess on the internet, or in a strategy guide, until I beat the game, and I succeeded. The first time I opened my prima guide for the game was three days after I beat it. Emma ^(Talk)

Old post, but still, I second the part about the Midna image. In fact, since that's already a part of Midna's gallery, I think it can be taken off this page completely and replaced by an image of one of those generic Twili people outside the Palace of Twilight (I'm actually amazed there are no images of them here). Hope nobody minds, but honestly I think this article is better off with no image in the meantime.... I thought of replacing it with the one of the corrupted Twili, but I dunno, it's kind of low-quality and doesn't accurately represent the race. Yes, the Midna image needed to go. No, the corrupted Twili shouldn't be the main image, as they aren't representative of true Twili appearance. Height

I've seen a lot of quotes like this around the site: "They also have oval, yellow eyes and are (usually) quite thin as well as much taller than Hylians. Midna stood no less than than a full head above Link"
Link's not exactly the tallest guy in the world. In most games he's not even fully grown yet. What is, he, 16, in Twilight Princess?

Interloper Conflict : Sacred Realm vs Hyrule

"Jumbie- In a most tricky sentence, there is no "word of" the Sacred Realm spreading at all. Although 聖地 is also the Japanese name of the SR, it literally means "sacred/holy land", which here (and throughout TP) is given as a description of Hyrule instead. The great battle is specifically a rivalry, so accordingly, what NoA translated as "through Hyrule" should better be "over Hyrule". So it was a rivalry over the holy land that is Hyrule."

Nice observation, there, however, one could make a similar argument about the discrepancies between "Fused" and "Crystal Stone" and the differences between them. The thing is that we are an English wiki, and we go by the English version of things, first and foremost. We still take the two cents of the Japanese translation, but don't analyze it for meaning as we do the English wording seen in the games. — cipriano^talk 17:57, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
