Link, Impa, Zelda, the Champion and their Descendants, alongside Hestu, Master Kohga, and King Rhoam, all enter Hyrule Castle, leading a large number of Soldiers, Zora Soldiers, Goron Soldiers, Rito Soldiers, Gerudo Soldiers, and the Yiga Clan. Astor and Harbinger Ganon are situated in separate Gatehouses at Hyrule Castle.

The group enters the Great Hall, where they will face against two Stalmoblins and a Stalnox.

After the three foes are defeated, Astor will summon the four Blight Ganons, with Thunderblight Ganon located in the Dining Hall, Waterblight Ganon located in the Guard's Chamber, and Fireblight Ganon and Windblight Ganon located on the surface of Hyrule Castle, outside of their respective Gatehouses.

After the four Blight Ganons are defeated, Link and the group will attack Astor and Harbinger Ganon at the first and second Gatehouses. After they each sustain enough damage from the battle, they will withdraw, regrouping at a location with a ruined gazebo and near the Sanctum.

There, Astor will attempt to order Harbinger Ganon to attack Link and Zelda, but is ultimately killed by Harbinger Ganon by devouring him, absorbing his body to transform into Calamity Ganon. This resulted in Malice being dispersed, attacking and controlling the Diminutive Guardian. Link will then fight the Diminutive Guardian and eventually destroy it. Zelda will then rush over to the damaged Guardian in tears as she begins to cry.

As one of her tears drop onto the Diminutive Guardian's eye, it will attempt to play a lullaby that it had previously played for Zelda in her childhood, causing Zelda to receive flashbacks of the events of when she had created built the Diminutive Guardian to show to her mother. Zelda then remembers the night when her mother had passed away and when the Guardian comforts her, in which she refers to the Diminutive Guardian as "Terrako". Zelda then remembers her father confiscating a deactivated Terrako and reminding her to follow her duties in unlocking the power to away Calamity Ganon.

Standing around Zelda was Link alongside the Champion and their future counterparts. With motivation to avenge the destruction of Terrako, she leads the group to the Sanctum, where they will fight Calamity Ganon.

Initially, the group's attacks did not affect Ganon. The damaged Terrako will intervene when Zelda has difficulty attacking Ganon, and in its explosion, weakens Ganon's strength, allowing the group attack Ganon.

Eventually, Calamity Ganon will attempt to break the floor, taking the group down into the Observatory. Ganon will appear more powerful, utilizing attacks previously used by the four Blight Ganons, but he will also have weaknesses to all four of the Sheikah Slate runes at specific point of his attacks.

After sustaining enough damage, Calamity Ganon drops his defenses and Link will slash Ganon body open with the Master Sword. Zelda will then seal Ganon away.

The battle ends and residents from across Hyrule, including various Gorons, Gerudo, and Rito will venture out into the morning. Zelda and the group will walk out a balcony overlooking Hyrule Castle and the kingdom. Suddenly, one of the remnants of Terrako, a Blessed Screw, will activate and begins Sidon, Yunobo, Teba, and Riju. Daruk will praise Yunobo in his skills, Teba will draw to his initial expectations of Revali and how they were very different in reality, Urbosa gives her confidence to Riju in being able to lead the Gerudo, and Mipha bids her farewell to her brother and hopes they will see each other again. Zelda will thank the departing members of the group shortly before they disappear in blue lights that fly in different directions across the sky.
