Triforce Map
Triforce Map are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][name references needed]
Location and Uses
In The Faces of Evil and The Wand of Gamelon, Triforce Maps appear in each stage. They appear at the beginning and end of every stage, with the exception of the games' final stages, and are used to exit and return to the map screen. The Triforce Maps that appear at the end of an area typically open up new stages. A Triforce-shaped cursor is also used on the world map screens to select stages.
In The Wand of Gamelon, the Triforce of Wisdom appears and the Triforce of Courage is mentioned. King Harkinian leaves for Gamelon to aid Duke Onkled against Ganon's forces, and takes the Triforce of Courage to protect him.[2] The Triforce of Wisdom is owned by Impa, which appears as a floating, blue pyramid. The Triforce of Wisdom appears to have the ability to look into events that have occurred and foresee events yet to happen, which Impa uses to assure Zelda that the King will safely return.[3] The Triforce of Wisdom however also tends to be cryptic, and is not very clear in what it reveals. When King Harkinian and Link fail to return after two months, Zelda and Impa leave for Gamelon to find them. Throughout their adventure, Impa uses the Triforce of Wisdom to seek guidance as well as learn that several people, including the King, have been captured by Ganon's minions.
