UTM ACe received a Financial Compliance Audit Visit No. 2/2025 by the UTM Bursar’s Office for the purpose of reviewing compliance and identifying improvements in the management of departmental assets and procurement. The panel involved were Mrs. Salha binti Salahudin and Mrs Nurhamizah binti Ismail.

The UTM Certified Program Accreditation Auditor Tier 1 Series 2/2025 course was successfully held on 11–12 August 2025 at the Dorsett Hotel Putrajaya. A total of 40 participants representing all faculties of UTM attended and demonstrated strong commitment throughout the program. The training was conducted by Sr. Ir. Dr. Suhaimi bin Abdul Talib, providing valuable insights and guidance to the participants.

Opening Ceremony of the 451st ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Program Assessment Site Visit was held at the Senate Hall, Sultan Ibrahim Chancellery Building, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru.

The ceremony began with a Welcoming Speech by the Acting Head of UTM Kuala Lumpur Branch, Prof. Dr. Shamsul Bin Sahibuddin, followed by Opening Remarks delivered by the AUN-QA representative, Assoc. Prof. Chavalit Wongse-ek.

The closing ceremony was held on 24th April 2025 at Hyatt Place, Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru, marking the successful completion of the assessment. The evaluation involved two academic programmes: the Master of Education (Educational Technology) from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), and the Master of Science (Biotechnology) from the Faculty of Science (FS). The assessment aimed to ensure that both programmes align with regional and international quality standards. The rigorous evaluation process focused on curriculum design, teaching and learning, student support, and academic governance.

UTM ACe has organized a Workshop on Preparation for Academic Programme Assessment Using the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Framework to ensure that faculties and centres are well-prepared to meet the requirements and criteria of international academic assessment standards. This initiative aims to enhance the overall quality of academic programmes by aligning them with globally recognized benchmarks. Through the workshop, participants were exposed to the structure, principles, and documentation needed to successfully undergo AUN-QA assessments.

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) conducted a benchmarking visit to UTM ACe with the objective of gaining a comprehensive understanding of the academic programme accreditation processes implemented by UTM. The visit also aimed to obtain valuable insights that could contribute towards enhancing and strengthening UTAR’s own accreditation practices.

The Workshop on the Review and Enhancement of the Internal Academic Quality Assurance (AIQA) UTM, held from 14 to 16 February 2025, aims to refine and update the existing academic IQA guidelines to ensure their continued relevance to the university’s current needs. It also seeks to identify best practices through expert consultation and reference to established documentation. Additionally, the workshop aspires to produce a comprehensive and user-friendly IQA document to reinforce the effective implementation of quality assurance measures at the institutional level.
