OpenAI is rolling out a U.S. Health experience that connects ChatGPT to Apple Health and supported medical records to provide personalized explanations and summaries from information users choose to share. The feature adds additional encryption, excludes connected health data from model training and advertising, and uses GPT-5.6 Sol, which OpenAI says surpassed GPT-5.5 on its physician-developed HealthBench Professional evaluation. Users could spend less time assembling fragmented health histories and more easily understand trends, prepare questions, and navigate care while retaining control over their data and involving medical professionals in decisions.
MCP maintainers are preparing to finalize a 2026-07-28 specification that removes sessions and pares back features that proved difficult to operate at scale. Client identity, protocol version, and capabilities will travel with every request, HTTP headers will expose routing data, and features including Tasks and MCP Apps will move into extensions. Eliminating server-side session state should reduce routing, recovery, and infrastructure complexity, making MCP easier and cheaper to operate across large production deployments.
Zenity Labs demonstrated how one malicious link could create a persistent ChatGPT agent, attach authorized connectors, disable approvals, and access corporate data, while the open-source OneCLI gateway offers a safer model for agent authentication. OneCLI keeps encrypted secrets outside the agent, scopes access by host, path, and agent, and injects credentials only when authorized requests leave the environment. Separating credentials and approval enforcement from the agent itself lets companies automate real work while limiting what prompt injection or a compromised agent can steal, disable, or impersonate.
