Tea-lightful Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful God woke me this morning!
It's going to be a beautiful day, even if it is Cold!

In reading my daily devotion this morning it made me stop and be thankful for the things in my life.
It told of how all things seems to be going digital.
We don't need to subscribe to magazines, have a Bible or even a TV.
Technology has it's place and can be good, but for me I like a magazine to hold in my hand and look at when I want to.

My Bible is a very big part of my day and life.
I read it every morning to start my day off right.
I am so Thankful I have it.

"Thy word have I hidden in my heart"
Psalm 119:11

Reading and meditating on God's word to us, helps when we don't have the bible with us. God can bring a verse to our memory when we need it.

I am Thankful for this day the Lord has given me to enjoy!

I have been on a low Carb diet for the last 6 months. I am so thankful, with God's help, I have lost 27 lbs. I always knew I should eat healthier, I just didn't do anything about it until I got to a weight I couldn't see me at.
I am also Thankful for my sister Linda and my friend, Jane, and family and friends that has encouraged me. I guess I should say that I'm Thankful for Adkins bars, they fill me and help suppress my desire for sweets!

Have a Blessed Day!
Enjoy and be Thankful we have it!

Sunday Morning Coffee - Kindness

Good Morning, dear readers.  As I read my daily journal this morning, I was inspired to share with each of you.

There was a photo shared on social media once, by someone that witnessed an act of Kindness.
As an older passenger sat on a New York subway, a younger man sitting next to him fell asleep and gently his head fell onto the shoulder of the older man. Other passengers offered to wake him up, but quietly the older man said, "He must be tired and had a long day, let him sleep. We've all been there".
The older man's kindness reflects the heart of God.. we all long for this.
In Mark 10:13-16, We see the gentleness in Jesus when the little children came to see him, and the disciples tried to stop them. Jesus said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Jesus took the child and sat him on his lap and blessed him.
To find this kind of kindness we all must come to him as a child humble ourselves before him.
We can be assured that we are safe in Him, whether we are asleep or awake, we can LEAN on Him, when we are tired and can find rest for He is a safe place for us.

Under His wings, I am safely abiding,
though the night deepens
and tempests are wild;
still I can trust Him-I know He will keep me,
He has redeemed me and I am His child.

We can all be blessed when we offer
Kindness to others!

Have a Blessed Sunday
