Words to Live by......Joy

I have often heard that we have to choose, meaning, to pick out as being the best or most appropriate of two or more alternatives, JOY.
We would all rather be happy always but that isn't possible, every day brings circumstances that make us sad but maybe we can choose to not let it get us down and choose to be Joyful.

My heart is filled with Joy when I am happy.
All by blessing comes from the Lord. My children
and Grandchildren are a blessing. When we're together they know just what to do and say to lift my spirit up.Yesterday my grandson, Johnathan, called to check on us, and my granddaughter, Morgan, and I was texting just to keep in touch. Even now when I think of and writing this I fill Joy rising up in my heart. Oh the Joy of the Lord IS my strength!

When I count my blessing and actually name them out loud, I find myself smiling with a heartfelt
Joy.

In the world today there's so much bad things going on every day. I choose to focus on the good things in my life. I don't watch the news on TV, but I do see things on Facebook, so it's there to remind me and bring me back to reality. Don't stay in that frame of mind for long or it will bring you down. I stop sometimes and remember what the fruits of the Spirit are. We should try to produce some of these into our daily life if not all of them.

Yes, there is evil all around us but we can focus on Joy.

Have a Blessed Day filled with
Joy!

Joy

"Sing unto the Lord, o ye saints of his,
and give thanks at the remembrance
of his holiness.
For his anger endureth for a moment,
in his favor is Life:
Weeping may endure for a night,
but JOY cometh in the morning."

Psalm 30:5

So thankful for God's promises of joy, Love
and forgiveness!

Have a Blessed Sunday!

Joy in Vacation!

"Why chase Joy"

This was the title of my morning bible study.
"It is the duty of a Christian to be as happy as
he can".  C.S. Lewis

So many of us find that we get so involved in our
daily activities that we tend to loose focus of
our purpose or loose the "Joy" in what we are
doing in our lives. These are those times that
we need to get away to a "happy place" where
we can find quiet and peace. To refocus and get
back to where we can truly enjoy our lives.

 That is what we did!
We found our place where we could rest and leave the things behind, if for only a few days, that would hinder our "joy".

The peaceful sounds of the ocean waves, I find
relaxing.

The sounds of birds singing! They fly to and from their nest happily, not worrying or burdened with cares .

Each sunrise and sunset, we find that each new day is given to us by a loving God, that longs to give us that peace that can only be found in Him.

A quiet place where our hearts can find fellowship with Him!

"...try to be quiet, and do your own business..."
1 Thessalonians 4:11
Put aside the daily cares of life and concerns that can weigh us down.

When we find that 'place,' then we can begin to have joy and peace within and we're able to share our joy with others.

"And in the morning, rising up early, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed." Mark 1:35

I love nature, there's so much we can learn from it. The beauty of God's creation, the love given to us to embrace and enjoy.

The fellowship of family is always a blessings and brings joy!
On this Spring break vacation two of our daughters, three of our grandchildren and one of our son-in-laws, joined us. One son-in-law was in Honduras on a mission trip building a church.  The others in our family was either in school or working.

The place where we were staying was less than an hour drive to Panama City Beach,Florida. One day we drove over and enjoyed the mall there.
Most of all I just loved and enjoyed staying in this
quiet town by the beach away from the noise of a big city, where it isn't filled with high rise condo's and stores.

Yes, an en'joy'able time was had by all and at the end of the day and trip we weren't ready to leave.

If only my granddaughter 'could' hold up the sun and not let it go down on our vacation, how wonderful that would be!

To have one more day to relax, en'joy'  the sun and sounds of the birds happily flying by and the call of
the ocean waves. To sit in the swing where I was often found en'joy'ing the others playing in the water, and fellowship with others staying at the Inn.

Yes, Madi, there will be other days of  'joy'ful moments together!

But for now we most go back to 'normal' everyday life and remember these times of "Joy"!

Have a Blessed and Enjoyable Day!
