Adventures of the Blackgang

Found cut and being used as stiffener behind lithograph of the Virgin Mary, bought at an estate/yard sale.  Previous owner had been devout Catholic widow. She and her husband had come to the United States from Italy because he had secured work as stone mason during the building boom in Washington DC after World War II.
