Jacob Ballance Phenomenal record. This second wave inspired black metal act blew me away with their EP back in December and I was not expecting an LP so soon. Beautiful, soaring melodies span across all these tracks, the vibes are simply immaculate. Favorite track: Gilded.

sashavonkarl74 Because I just came across their EP and I got it just in time to be blown away by the new album release, which takes it from there and elevates to another level. Cleaner prod and more amazing sound, still Enslaved comes to mind, but there is more variety and tempo changes here, giving it perhaps a fingerprint of what "Aldheorte" is capable of. Can't wait to put this one on repeat! Favorite track: Enthroned In Natural Majesty.

Monuments 05:44
As we dream, the devil whispers We wake with hearts aflame As we rise the devil calls us We listen and obey What glory shall our sins beget? What monuments will we build; To flesh, to triumph, to blood? We take what must be given As we dream the devil whispers We see our world aflame We see what god would deny us When nothing more is ever certain What glory shall our sins beget? What monuments will we build; To flesh, to triumph, to blood? We take what must be given The devil whispers We listen

When nights grow darker and the sun is weak And the cold hand of winter clutches our bones The blade flashes and blood spills And the altar drinks it red and raw I give this gift where gods have eyes to see Where gods have eyes to see I give this gift where gods have eyes to see Where gods have eyes to see When children shiver and fathers weep And old men leave to spare their families the burden When the snow is pale, so pale it blinds I climb the mountain and stand on high I spill my blood where gods have eyes to see I spill my blood where gods have eyes to see Where gods have eyes to see I spill my blood where gods have eyes to see My blood for the thaw My blood for the sun My blood for meat and bread My blood for a summer that never ends Where gods have eyes to see

Gilded 06:49
What hides beneath beauty As elegant seams split and fray A smile that never reaches their eyes Sweet scents that mask a rotten stench Magnificence cedes to squalor When gilded hearts melt to ash The mercy of a gentle lie The malice of a naked truth Practiced grace belies a cruelty And charm yields to enmity A lover's whisper carries a curse Even in the warming haze of spring But the chill returns, and leaves fall And the cold clarity of winter leaves us bare The mercy of a gentle lie The malice of a naked truth Nothing good can last Nothing good can last Shorn of our pretense Stripped of the sun Dawn was the promise The dusk ripped away Nothing good can last

Devilry 05:04
In woods where sinners dance anew Their joy in sacrificial flame In burning lust for life unburdened By worry of failing a counterfeit god Where freedom and sin are glory Where lust and pleasure are raised Where dogma is mocked and cast aside Where heresy is refusing to live In blissful devilry In defiance of faith In contempt of subjugation In triumph over tyranny To serve he who loves us as we are In blissful devilry
5.
Communion 05:37
In communion with carnal lust Flesh and soul unencumbered by shame We entangle as heretical vines Wrapped in rapture, blessed by satan In communion with decadence Where god forbids, we reign eternal Unburdened by guilt or fear Sharing pleasure in defiance of god Ecstasy as blasphemy enthroned In communion with sin A single beating heart One in flesh

Old Heart 04:41
Oldheart, graveborn and life-averse Greysoul, waiting to die Oldheart, never to yearn Voidmind, never to learn Bliss in surrender Surrender to death No will to fight No need to persevere Oldheart Greysoul Oldheart Graveborn Bliss in surrender Surrender to death No will to fight, to persevere Oldheart Greysoul Oldheart Graveborn Bliss in surrender Surrender to death No will to fight, to persevere Oldheart Greysoul Oldheart Graveborn Oldheart, graveborn and life-averse Greysoul, waiting to die Oldheart, never to yearn Voidmind, never to learn

Moonrise - bathed in pale light and pallid fog Hooded figures loom amongst the woods Twisted, gnarled shapes amongst the pines He swears his soul to gods best left unknown Where pacts and devils breed Let no false man make his way Where oaths are writ in blood Let no deceiver follow Arise - born anew amongst the sulfur and the black rite - choked with sacred smoke and fire and ash Risen and made strong by sacrifice Strength in flesh made flame Where pacts and devils breed Let no false man make his way Where oaths are writ in blood Let no deceiver follow An Oath Writ in Blood

Feel the touch of ancient gods In sodden wood and thriving moss Breathe the uncorrupted air The poison of men abandoned To live, to exalt, to pray A blessing of quiet reflection A fire, in worship, ablaze Enthroned in natural majesty Listen to the wind and fire It rustles, ir crackles, it sings The forest, an altar, a sanctum A lush and joyous heresy To live, to exalt, to pray A blessing of quiet reflection A fire, in worship, ablaze Enthroned in natural majesty Renounce the burden of body Renounce the piety of God Renounce the rot of christ Embrace the rapture of fire A fire, in worship, ablaze Enthroned in natural majesty

Red fire 'neath a twilight sky Weeping snow, desolation Smoke dances in the growing dark No ears near to hear him Grim and joyless Moonlight blood Steel and sorrow Silence after the fall Disgrace and quiet Only thoughts and the flame Ghosts of the past will linger After fire turns to embers Grim and joyless Moonlight blood Steel and sorrow Silence after the fall Fire and peace
