Jono Schneider Heavy and dark as a pack of mad wolves that drag you into the firepits of hell, yet then you are suddenly lighter than air, you become heaven again. Favorite track: Sanctus.

Introit 07:15
Pray for him friends, who have not strength to pray My lover lies in soft ground, with broken teeth, and frailty leaking from him Forgive him, Lord, on this and each day of your righteous wrath, For Justice looks like Death Pray for him, friends, who have not strength to pray My lover is the hanged man
He walks in beauty, and sitteth at my left hand Te decet hymnus, Deus
Pray for him friends, who have not strength to pray,
My lover is the lion He reaps his harvest, the cruelty that he has sown Exaudi oriationem meam Pray for him friends, who have no strength left My lover’s teeth are breaking
 Eternal rest give unto him,
And let perpetual light shine upon him Requiem aeternam Pray for him friends, brothers, fathers
Pray for him All virgins, saints, all righteous
 Pray for him

Sanctus 08:10
My brother in Christ
 Sit down with me
 I know you’re frightened, for
Justice looks like Death My brother in Christ
 Lie down with me
 I know you’re sorry, but
Justice looks like Death My brother in Christ
 I have prayed for you
Heaven and earth are full of your glory
Heaven and earth are full of your reek of Death Heaven and earth are full of it
Heaven and earth are full of it
You don’t want to be him, but
 My brother in Christ,
 You are that man
 My brother in Christ,
 You are that man
 You are that man
 You are, you are
 That man, you are
 You are that man
 You are

Kyrie Eleison Christe Eleison Kyrie Eleison Spread on my back That same bed Christ will come before I do

Pie Jesu 05:33
I see what is in your heart No beast you worship Frailty leaks from you
Cold and naked, you are here Chin up, soldier,
 Men don’t cry
On soft ground your shoulders lie I pray for Your refuge, Lord,
For there’s not just one of him There’s an army
The trumpet summons all before Your throne Chin up, soldier,
Men don’t cry On soft ground your shoulders lie
 Face me with
Your head unbowed Kneel before my open mouth Palms flat and wide
 I bruise roses
Holding Your thorns Crushed velvet in Your arms
 Chin up, soldier,
 Men don’t cry

5.
Sequentia 05:39
Take your place among the cattle Death is struck, and nature doomed
Upon this day of wrath, I waste
Yet in rising, I rent your wounds I spilled the light
 For Judgement,
 Make your preparations
The hounds on wheels of fire blaze
There is no grave that can embrace me No ropes to bind the struts of my broken ribs My right hand desecrates the mountains
My fingers penetrate your lips Ahead of you lie countless stones
 A violent road to damnation
But I have the certainty of God The promise of salvation O Christ, I want to feel alive O Christ, I want to feel alive O Christ, I want to feel alive, I want to feel alive, I want to feel alive All flesh shall come to Thee All flesh shall come to Thee All flesh shall come to Thee All flesh shall come to Thee
6.
Agnus Dei 05:46
Each man is a cemetery Each man is a cemetery
Each man is laid beneath earth Each man is a cemetery The ground is soft The ground where He lies is soft
Where he lays beneath earth The ground is soft And my fingers are strong Lay me in the loam Lay me down to lie Lay me in the loam, O Lord, Lay me down to lie I will dig myself a field of graves With fingers strong and sodden I will dig beneath the loam The earth pouring o’er my head I will dig in Your soft ground
And lay down at Your side It’s time We were together
 I want You back
 I want You—
7.
Lux Æterna 06:39
I have loved you More than a thousand suns More than your Mother I have loved you longer When you were hungry When you were hungry for me When you glistened with the smell of me Arms wrapped around my full name You’re a big, scared kid You’re overgrown You’re coyote Your mouth is bloodied On my neck As you hold me in your palm I’m a plaything I’m your plaything I have held you I have bore the nails for you I have heard your whispered prayers And tasted sins you hide When you were lying When you were lying to me When you were worshipping false Gods I never faltered I never faltered

8.
In Paradisum 05:17
I won’t send roses I won’t send cavalry I won’t send Justice looks like Death Justice looks like God only knows what I’d be without you I want to be warm, Lord, I want to feel your hands on me To walk in your eternal light And I won’t send roses I won’t send cavalry I won’t send And God only knows what I’d be without you God only knows I could have been anything I could have been anything And Justice looks like Death And Justice looks like Death And God only knows what I’d be without you

about

All Men Unto Me’s sophomore album Requiem re-imagines an ancient mourning in a real, contemporary setting, scaling the broad emotional arcs of the Missa pro Defunctis. These structures pave way for new songs, ruminating on patriarchal power systems and the conditions of transmasculinity within them, through the haze of Queer reverence and forgiveness. Marrying experimental/noise rock and doom metal with traditional Anglican soundworlds of electro-pneumatic church organ and stacked choral vocals, Requiem invokes a great and terrible transcendence.
