Its Graduation season -and!! Finished ( or not) Friday

It is that Time again - graduation, and so many folks love to have a T shirt Quilt to commemorate . I made this one for a clients daughter - and it was fun to try to incorporate her dance uniforms in there.... the sequins were tricky !

But!! i did it, I learned that heat will remove the sequins that are in the seam lines - so no worries about broken needles ( I was concerned)

The Girls say - Lets go Plaaaaayyyyy....

Also - Tuesday Night we started rain , that turned to snow, and I was so happy. But this made me laugh: This is my tree line on Wednesday:

We got a lot of moisture and it was wonderful - its okay if it rains some more.. I joked - the recipe for a snowstorm is - Forget to Tarp the hay, Forget to disconnect the water hose, and send the hubby out of town - I swear the minute that mans plane took off... rain turned to snow.  😆😆

Now it is your turn!! Link up and let us know what you Finished ( or not) and brag about it!!!

High School Graduation Quilts

I love being a part of making memory quilts for these really fun Seniors!!

This one was a photo quilt made by her Grandma - and Oh my gosh - it was so gorgeous! It had all sorts of family photos and memory photos ( which is why it is not my place to show the whole thing)

But I took a photo of one of the edges!!! I had such fun quilting feathers and swirlies and oh la la

Check out this border!! is that fabric not to Die for!!! and again - The feathers - I listened to the best music, started quilting and just let life fade away into the background - very theraputic for me!

Another Sweet friend graduated and she really wanted a T shirt quilt - so! I met her and mom in the parking lot - they threw the bag of shirts in the back of my car ( this was late march).

We socially distanced ( Boy do I hate that phrase anymore!) and discussed the quilt... then I took everything home and

Her quilt was  finished and she was ready to graduate - and I loved being a part of it!

It's pretty fun being a part of other peoples quilts! They make me very happy!!

Cancer T Shirt Quilt

I have a friend.

Yep - just let that sink in a little bit... I do have one ( grin)

She is a cancer survivor and she has participated in a TON of Cancer walks. With each one she collected a T shirt , and now is the time to make them into a quilt!

I cut all the shirts and this is the final layout.

Now off to get it quilted before Christmas ....

Have a great day!

T Shirt Quilts

I am a HUGE fan of T Shirt Quilts!!  My kids have so many shirts, that I can't wait to get them into quilts, and get the excess parts out of here......

One of my friends was a Big Marathoner!! He had bags of Marathon and 5K and running shirts... and so... we dug through - and about 50 shirts later.....

Ta Da!!

So this is the front of the quilt... we chose to just use the logos as they fit, versus using each T as the same Size

And this is the back!
Each shirt is a square on this side

I was able to make them the exact same width, but needed a little extra on the length
I think it turned out pretty cool!!

And then my other Friends Son was graduating from High School
Which is so weird - because I still see him as 2!!!!

And this is what we did with his shirts

and then we made a pillowcase out of the backs of the Ts
Too much fun!!

The living room is mine

It really always has been  mine - but this weekend I have double or triple claimed it!!!

I am working on some t shirt quilts for a client - and man do those take up a lot of room. But once you get stuff layed out, you don't want to move it until you are ready to  put it together.

I have one completely cut and awaiting stiching - the one in the back is just layed out and ready to be cut.....

And just so you know - My Allietare is still up too!
I have finished all of the Sunflower type blocks
But my design wall is not big enough to add them all
( and when the door to the mus room opens and closes the blocks on the left fall off!)

And just because you need some photo inspiration for today
This was right before Christmas in the fields
And sadly the only change is more snow

Have a great day!
The boys have today off - yet.... one still has basketball practice
No rest for the weary right ( ha ha ha)
