Another You 03:17
[Verse 1: Amerigo Gazaway] 'Sup love, I know I haven't been myself lately I guess I've been too afraid to ask for help lately Friends and fam worried about my mental health lately And I'd be lying if I said I never felt crazy Or felt like the all the walls were closing in on me Shout out to my kinfolk for always checking in on me Like how you been homie? I've been stressed out Tryin' to make a livin' but I'm living check to check now Wondering how I'm supposed to pay off all this debt now Should I settle down or just move on to the next town? Hard to get respect like it's some sort of flex now Put my trust in people, always end up feeling let down So please forgive me if I've been rude I would stop to chat but I'm really not in the mood Got a lot of work to do, mostly on myself 'Cause at the end of they day, you can't depend on no one else, listen [Hook: Amerigo Gazaway] Sometimes I wake up and I feel like I'm a different person Well maybe not completely but a different version Everyday is a chance to start something new A golden opportunity to become 'another you' Sometimes I wake up and I feel like I'm a different person Well maybe not completely but a different version Everyday is a chance to start something new A golden opportunity to become 'another you' [Verse 2: Amerigo Gazaway] 'Sup cuz, I know I haven't been in touch lately Truth be told I've been going through some stuff lately See times been tough lately, but I'm still here Put in years of hard work, blood sweat and real tears Conquered real fears, faced my demons head on The weak or the strong, step to me and you're dead wrong A lot friends gone but some are still with us I guess death comes for all but you learn to just deal with it Because it is, survival of the fittest But if you're hurtin' inside? Don't be to prideful to admit it Shit, who am I kiddin', I'm guilty of it too But it never too late to become 'another you' Flip the script hit the brakes and try to change directions Sometimes all takes is a slight change in perspective For you to see things, from a different point of view It ain't over yet, nah I still got a lot more to do, listen [Hook: Amerigo Gazaway] Sometimes I wake up and I feel like I'm a different person Well maybe not completely but a different version Everyday is a chance to start something new A golden opportunity to become 'another you' Sometimes I wake up and I feel like I'm a different person Well maybe not completely but a different version Everyday is a chance to start something new A golden opportunity to become 'another you' [Outro: Amerigo Gazaway) Imagine if somewhere there was a different version of you What would you do? What would you do? If you discovered that there was 'another you'?

[Verse 1: Amerigo Gazaway] We've been hustling from the start working multiple jobs And dealing with with what life throws at you I know it’s been hard  See they don’t see the constant struggle that we going through dawg  'Cause every social post you see on up on your phone’s a facade Seems like most of the time, people going though life  With no problems, but you don’t know they been going though, right?  Could be an illness in the family, or the death of friend  They could be dealing with addiction or relapsing again That’s why it’s good to check in, every now every now and then  Call em up like, 'sup, what’s good homie? How you been? How’s your Moms doin? How’s your wife doin? How’s your kid? I seen those pictures that you posted, damn she’s gettin big  Some people hide and pretend, that they ain’t hurting inside You never know what's going on in someone's personal life And they might not pick up the phone, but it don't hurt to try  And it’s all good if you just need to take some personal time  because [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] Yeah I know it's been hard Trying to pick up all the pieces, I don't know where to start And I know it's been hard Trying to make it through The Storm and mend this hole in my heart [Verse 2: Amerigo Gazaway] Girl I know that it’s been hard Things been hectic at your job and you've been workin overtime  Taking trips on the weekend just to visit your Moms Because one day you're here (and then your gone)  Now pardon me if I start crying I get real in these songs  People contemplating suicide and killing themselves  Have you ever felt so hungry you willing to rob  willing to cross lines you were formally unwilling to cross? 'Cause when your back's against wall, and you're trying to survive  The only thing that you can think bout is how to stay alive  It’s a defense mechanism that we use to get to by  You never know what someone’s truly going through in their life So don’t be b so quick to judge, and jump to conclusions  Try gaslight folks and tell them that they’re dilusioned Cuz e everybody going through it, tying to cope with it all And you don't need to tell me twice, 'cause I know it's been hard [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] Yeah I know it's been hard Trying to pick up all the pieces, I don't know where to start And I know it's been hard Trying to make it through The Storm and mend this hole in my heart

Keep Trying 03:12
[Verse 1: Amerigo Gazaway] Lord knows that I’ve tried But if I told you I was perfect then you know I was lyin’ And I know that life can have you feeling hopeless at times But it’s all about perception, gotta focus your mind Don’t let emotion get the best of you, stay calm and collected About the things you can’t control, sometimes it’s hard to accept it Use to care about what they, say now I’m hardly affected So don’t get mad when you show up and you aren’t on the guestlist Interviewers askin’ me all sorta questions Like ‘when’s your best mashup coming out’, I’m on to the next shit Always trying something new, and taking a stance Creating something out of nothing, formulating a plan To take over the world and get this music straight to the fans I spit truth like Rick Rubin, spend all day in a trance See most these artists are just waitin’ to get paid an advance Instead of making their own waves and taking a chance, but yo [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] You know I‘m, you know I’m You know I‘m, tryin’ You know I‘m, you know I’m You know I‘m, tryin’ [Verse 2: Amerigo Gazaway] Man I’m not even lyin’ Sometimes I listen to these rappers, it’s like they not even tryin’ Talking bout they servin‘ crack but that I’m even buyin’ I think instead of mumble rap, y’all oughtta be silent And be quiet when others are speakin’ I’m tryin make my mark, you tryin’ to hit the club on the weekend I‘m rying to innovate, and stimulate minds A wise man once said all things things worth making take time So be patient, and keep, keep trying I used play and Nintendo all day and freestyle Now I’m traveling around on jet planes with free miles Been so many places now that it’s hard to keep count All these folks that used to hate me now they wanna be down Got so many dates lined up it’s like I’m on the rebound Nothin but quality sound, ‘cause you how I get down They say cream rises to the top and that the word gets around, but yo [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] You know I‘m, you know I’m You know I‘m, tryin’ You know I‘m, you know I’m You know I‘m, tryin’ [Outro: Amerigo Gazaway] Keep trying Keep trying

Walk Away 03:07
[Verse 1: Amerigo Gazaway] Sometimes I wish that I could just walk away from it all  But when and opportunity knocks you know I’m taking that call The hero's journey, stepping over hot coals my feet are burning   Record label friends keep on telling me I need attorneys Seems like everybody rushing just to be the first Dawg I’m right here, hit me up if you need a verse Anybody trying to go against me they gon' need a nurse Matter fact, scratch that, homie you gon' need a hearse Plenty times I thought about turning back Yeah he’s nice on the beats but y'all every heard him rap? We pullin' the curtain back just in time for the big reveal Y'all ain't seen nothing yet, I’m just trying to trying to keep it real And I'm starting to lose track of just how many beats I’ve killed Yo it's crazy outside, man y'all really need to chill with that nonsense, weighing heavy on my conscience Sometimes you gotta know when to walk away from a conflict [Verse 2: Amerigo Gazaway] Sometimes I wish that I could just get up and walk away  Leave it all behind, and retire but not today I’m just getting started, yeah I still got a lot to say And when the album drop, ya'll better bed go out and cop to tape This is uncut, 100% from concentrate We've been busy trying to give you something to contemplate And I’m a determined to make it, no matter how long it takes Came a long way from being picked on and calling me names Sometimes you gotta learn to swallow your pride and just walk away  Success is the best form of revenge, I heard 'em say Yo these cats don’t rap, all they do regurgitate Always on the hunt, for someone to impersonate  I try to listen to it, but how much can a person take? Turn the radio on and guess which song is the first to play? Put my life in these lines but ain't trying to get merc'd today Sometimes you gotta know when to get up and walk away

The Battle 03:51
[Hook: Amerigo Gazaway] Weapons drawn, better get ready for lesson one First rule, is don’t turn your back on anyone You don’t wanna test, because my rhyme book weighs a ton There's nowhere to run, 'cause 'The Battle' has just begun Weapons drawn, better get ready for lesson one 'Cause if you seek knowledge of self, than blessing come You don’t wanna test, because my rhyme book weighs a ton There's nowhere to run, 'cause 'The Battle' has just begun [Verse 1: Amerigo Gazaway] Oh you trying to rap now? You better than me? Let's see if you got what it takes to be a real emcee Going 'round tryin to claim that you're the 'Mashup King' You should join a boy band do a backup thing Learn how to scratch, play an instrument, rap or sing Instead you'd probably rather work a job at Applebee’s Mad at me, 'cause I spittin' the truth You can't hold a candle to me when I’m lit in the booth It's automatic, you don't wanna start any static  And when you do? Well then don’t get surprised when I let 'em have it Then walk away smiling and act like it never happened After this, shit you won’t even think about rapping again  Oh what’s that you think you ill with the pen? You should trade it for Xbox and chill with friends  Just relax, don’t hold your breath, or quit your dayjob Matter fact, your manager called, and you’ve been laid off [Hook: Amerigo Gazaway] [Verse 2: Amerigo Gazaway] Yeah you talk a lot of ish but can you back it up? You don’t scare me one bit, you just actin' tough  Sometimes you gotta check you ego when it’s actin\ up 'Cause when it gets too big then it can gas you up Have you feelin' like you invincible, when really you just miserable  I should put you out your misery just based on principle  I’m pissed at you, how dare you call me a phony? You may live inside my head, but you barely even know me  You ain't nothing  but a figment, of my imagination  A fabrication, now it’s time for assassination Congratulations, I'm surprised you made it this far  You may be strong but I don’t think that your ready to face the boss Choir singing in the back like my name was Sephiroth One step closer, And that’s gon' be the death of y’all  Yeah, you nice and all but don’t let it get to your head 'Cause big egos, are sometimes better off dead Heard what I said? [Hook: Amerigo Gazaway]

Dark Clouds 03:15
[Hook: Amerigo Gazaway] Look up in the sky, dark clouds on the horizon FBI satellites and black helicopters Come to find out the whole world is run by monsters  Wonder how they sleep at night without a guilty conscience Look up in the sky, dark clouds on the horizon Russian spy satellites equipped with rocket launchers  Come to find out the whole world is run by mobsters  Wonder how they sleep at night without a guilty conscience [Verse 1: Amerigo Gazaway] Dark clouds on the horizon, I can see them in the distance Makes me wonder, how can people be so evil and sadistic? It’s time to rise up I'm sick of being a statistic And gettin' silenced every single time we go try to go against them  Don’t get it twisted I’m not a conspiracy theorist  But when in heard Non-Phixion, yo that’s when I got curious  Started trying to pay, closer attention to my surroundings And these all algorithms they use to control our minds with  You can say its all nonsense, but powers that be  Would agree, 'cause "that’s exactly what they want your to think" It all revolves around three things, money power and greed But the meek shall inherit the earth and devour the weak  Devour emcees, lowlives, cowards and thieves  You wanna battle? We can do this any time of the week  It’s like a severe thunder every time I rhyme on the beat  Dark clouds up in sky, yeah that’s all you can see  [Hook: Amerigo Gazaway] Look up in the sky, dark clouds on the horizon FBI satellites and black helicopters Come to find out the whole world is run by monsters  Wonder how they sleep at night without a guilty conscience Look up in the sky, dark clouds on the horizon Russian spy satellites equipped with rocket launchers  Come to find out the whole world is run by mobsters  Wonder how they sleep at night without a guilty conscience [Verse 2: Amerigo Gazaway] Look up in the sky, all I see is dark clouds. Wonder how can people be so evil and hostile I could get arrested, for expressing my thoughts now My fam keeps on telling me I should just calm down But this isn’t no conspiracy rap, just look around It's a heist..."freeze!" Nobody make a sound. If I’m trying to speak out then they'll probably take it down If you don’t believe me, then here let me break it down 'Cause the works is run, by hate, corruption and greed Stick up kids will merc each other for a couple of keys  And while the country gets dismantleD by Musk and his team  These democrats just sittin' back like there ain’t nothin to see Nothing to plead, just looking for someone to please  Is it Israel or Putin, Who’s pulling the puppets strings?  It’s like severe thunder e wry time I rhyme on the beat  Dark clouds up in the sky, yeah that’s all I can see  [Hook: Amerigo Gazaway] Look up in the sky, dark clouds on the horizon FBI satellites and black helicopters Come to find out the whole world is run by monsters  Wonder how they sleep at night without a guilty conscience Look up in the sky, dark clouds on the horizon Russian spy satellites equipped with rocket launchers  Come to find out the whole world is run by mobsters  Wonder how they sleep at night without a guilty conscience

[Verse 1: Amerigo Gazaway] We've been through some hard times, I’ve been down on my luck  Walking 'round town, hoping I can find me a buck And a times I feel stuck, with nowhere to go  A nomadic traveler with no place to call home  I've been so many places gotta clear some space on my phone I've seen things, that'll send chills straight to your bones Seen people struggling in ways that you can’t even imagine But somehow they still survive though all the evil send madness I spent years in the mud, trying to climb my way out  Learned the meaning of the the term "fuck around and find out" If I don't know, then I’ll try to DIY it myself  Either that or hire somebody and find me help  And yeah there's times that I felt  Like I don’t know what to do Stomach rumbling with money for groceries or food  Going thru some hard times, I’ve been down on my luck  But we've come too far and it’s too late now to give up, look  [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] Lord knows, Lord knows I’ve been traveling on this road for a long long time  And ever since that day I left home everybody thinks I've lost my mind and Lord knows Lord knows I’ve been traveling this road trying to find my way  But when I’m down on my luck I get up and wipe the tears comin' down my face [Verse 2: Amerigo Gazaway] Sometimes I wake up, and I just wanna lie on couch  That little voice inside my head like "what you cryin' about?"  You gotta get up, get out and do something worth doing  Don’t ever let nobody stop you from those dreams your pursuing See life ain’t easy when your dealing with the hand that your dealt To be successful, you gotta be a fan of yourself  You gotta build your own momentum, and manage yourself a Don't pay attention to those critics, it can damage your health See there's no obstacle that that’s stoppin you from reaching your goals I visualized it in my mind, I can see that I’m close  Shaking hands with fans, coming up to greet me at shows They say if you plant and nurture the right seed then it grows Sometimes the answer that your looking for is under your nose Some people born into the struggle, while some people just coast  See You choose your circumstances, just the luck of the draw  But some of us, end up stuck with the short end of the straw  So when feel like your lost and your luck has ran out  Just remember that somehow, it’ll all pan out  'Cause Lords knows (Lord knows), I’ve been down on my luck  But when you hit rock bottom, the only the way to go is up  [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] Lord knows, Lord knows I’ve been traveling on this road for a long long time  And ever since that day I left home everybody thinks I've lost my mind and Lord knows Lord knows I’ve been traveling this road trying to find my way  But when I’m down on my luck I get up and wipe the tears comin' down my face

Let's Pray 03:05
[Verse 1: Amerigo Gazaway] All I need is a pen and a pad and a pair of speakers A beat that's fresher than a brand new pair of sneakers. My peak is only beginning this is my thesis A dissertation told through each one of my releases You’re the reason, to Hip-Hop, I pledge allegiance Y'all probably thought that this is just an another song about Jesus I mean it’s, sort of spiritual in a sense Everytime a bless the mic it’s a miracle of events Ay yo, I’m not religious, but I pray a lot The quiet prophet, don’t speak much but when I do say a lot Sometimes it feels like there’s no way to stop 'Cause when you truly love what it is that you do Well then it ain't a job MY true callin', won't stop to my crew ballin' What you think we bout to to slow down, just because you stalling?  Who’s calling? Hurry up y’all better pick up the pace  'Chariots of Fire' playing, when I finish the race  [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] Now let’s pray, For all of the people who lost their way  Now let’s pray, for all of the victims who caught a stray  Now let’s pray, for all the souls that need to be saved  And the downfall of those who try to keep us enslaved Now let’s pray  [Verse 2: Amerigo Gazaway] I used to pray that someday people would change Until I learned what people do, for the greed and the fame I used to pray that someday I would make it this far Never thought the hip-ho, could take me this far They used to prey and pray on my downfall But every time I seem to bounce right back like round ball Uppercut first round knockout like Southpaw Real talk, couldn’t do none of this without y’all. I used to pray that, some record exec would hear my ADAT Sign me to a major so I could just chill and lay But things didn’t go exactly as planned Had to rebrand, go out and find some actual fans Do these fools really listen to music or skim through it? Still walking through the fires hell, I’ve been through it.  If my idols only knew just how much they meant to me  Rest in peace my dead Homies, hope they live through me [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] Now let’s pray, For all of the people who lost their way  Now let’s pray, for all of the victims who caught a stray  Now let’s pray, for all the souls that need to be saved  And the downfall of those who try to keep us enslaved Now let’s pray

Heavy Rain 03:11
[Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] When it rains it pours Stick together through any weather we can brave the storm  So tell me what the hell are you waiting for remember that it’s never too late to change your course  'Cause when it rains it pours But if we stick together maybe we could can change the world So tell me what the hell you waiting for  The sun is peeking though the cloud, yo the day is yours  [Verse 1: Amerigo Gazaway] Check the weather forecast and it’s nothing but heavy rain  Heavy weight on my shoulders, still struggling everyday  Paid my dues, now I don’t do nothing unless it pays  Made a vow, to never let nothing get in my way  If the world is a stage, I’m about to set it ablaze  Don’t believe me just watch, I put that on everything  Heavy rain, but we stay on point like weather vanes Hard to put your trust in people when some people never change  'Cause, sometimes we tend to get stuck in our own ways Repeating the same cycles like "oh you don’t say?" Severe thunderstorms and the clouds are so grey  But when the sun comes out I'just hope your okay Ay yo, we don't play, better put on your raincoats Fasten your life jackets 'cause we all int he same boat For now, Ley's wait the storm out and just lay low Keep looking to the sky and you just might see a rainbow [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] When it rains it pours Stick together through any weather we can brave the storm  So tell me what the hell are you waiting for remember that it’s never too late to change your course  'Cause when it rains it pours But if we stick together maybe we could can change the world So tell me what the hell you waiting for  The sun is peeking though the cloud, yo the day is yours  [Verse 2: Amerigo Gazaway] Check the weather channel this morning it’s nothing but storms and clouds Give a shout out to my family for always holding me down And throwing a lifeline all those times that I almost drowned In the eye if the hurricane but it’s finally over now Round the globe everywhere I that I go they just throw me pounds The chosen one, you can call me the The Golden Child When them waters keep risin you just gotta keep climbing One foot in front of the other until you reach higher ground Heavy rain, better get your umbrellas out Travelin' from place to place but I just wanna settle down Buy a nice home, flashflood and it might snow But if it does you can always hop in my Lifeboat I’m not a life coach, you should take my advice tho The sun’ll come out you things go in cycles so Dry your eyes hold your head to the sky I’ve see the other side, and eventually the sun will shine [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] When it rains it pours Stick together through any weather we can brave the storm  So tell me what the hell are you waiting for remember that it’s never too late to change your course  'Cause when it rains it pours But if we stick together maybe we could can change the world So tell me what the hell you waiting for  The sun is peeking though the cloud, yo the day is yours

[Verse 1: Amerigo Gazaway] Dear Mama, while your’e still here I just wanna  Take moment to say I appreciate the the way that we were brought up  All the memories we shared, and the lessons that you taught us And I know your spirit will live on forever through my daughter  See you did it all for us and there’s no way we can repay you  Except by spreading hope and joy and always trying to stay true  To the values you instilled in us like empathy and love  All those little bits of wisdom that have shaped who we’ve become  I’m so grateful be your son and to have you as my Moms  I can’t even fathom what it’s gon’ feel like to have you gone But right now I can still call you, so I had to write this song   Fuck cancer, whatever happens we gon’ have to ride the storm [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] It's the storm It's the storm [Verse 2: Amerigo Gazaway] Dear Zora, you know that I’d kill for ya Still in your mother's belly but I can feel your aura It’s color blue, sorta like my favorite emcee Blue like the sky, or blue the Adriatic sea  Blue like Zora’s Domain, or temple that hard to beat  In a game about princess who’s name also starts with 'Z' Pardon me, cause your not a princess you are a queen And I’ll always be here for you supporting all of your dreams Wanna bring you to Tennessee, so many people for you to meet  But if you don't get see your Grandma, it’s gon' feel so incomplete  Lately it’s been hard to sleep, cause I've had so much on my mind hard to focus, it just feels like there’s just so much on the line But I know that we’ll fine, 'cause this little light of mine  Is what keeps me going so you know I had to write a rhyme  Dedicated to my baby girl for we must brave the storm Whatever happens we got' keep it rocking' 'til the break of dawn It's the storm [Chorus: Amerigo Gazaway] It's the storm It's the storm

about

Following the warmth of 'The Sunshine', Amerigo Gazaway & Satoru return with 'The Storm' — a meditation on hardship, resilience, and renewal. From the internal conflict of 'The Battle' to the weary reflection of 'Down on My Luck', these songs trace a journey through struggle, perseverance, and growth. 'Dark Clouds' reflects on corruption and the shifting state of the world, while 'Keep Trying' carries the grit and determination to push forward and hold on to hope. Culminating in the title track — a letter written across generations — 'The Storm LP' confronts the darkness while continuing to search for light beyond the clouds.

For my mother, my daughter, and for anyone weathering their own storm.

“I wrote this album during a really intense period in my life, navigating my mom’s terminal brain cancer diagnosis while preparing for my daughter’s arrival. These songs sit in a space between uncertainty and new life, trying to find steady ground when everything is shifting.” – AG
