Ignore 1st ep. Pretty much similar to your comedy anime trio doing random things. Maybe only on par with some of the daily mundane episodes in Gintama. So if you enjoy those like I do, it'll be a blast.
If I have to rate this series on the characters alone, it'd be near perfect. I used to think to have a balanced cast, you usually have to introduce design flaws on the others. But the trio is just perfect. (Himeko is basically all things good combined)
While I superbly enjoy all the SoL/mundane activities, episode 45+ is where things start to move along and cement itself as a very memorable experience.
