Fisher nació en Milford on Sea, Hampshire, Inglaterra, fía d'Olga Moen, ama de casa, y William I. "Bill" Fisher, superintendente de construcción de refineríes de petroleu. Antes de llegar a la edá de quince años, Fisher camudóse nueve veces debíu al trabayu del so padre.
