Profile photos frequently don't display, albums are broken (can't flip through most of the time), doesn't show if my conversation partner is typing, can't send pre-recorded video... for something that's meant for connecting with people and sending messages, it really doesn't do either of those things well. Not gonna trash talk the culture and the user base because that's really not Grindr's fault. What I love: being able to put your health status on your profile and getting reminders!

Not sure if the result of the recent update, but about 70% of the time now when I'm scrolling, and tap into a profile, and then go back, the app fails to remember where I was and jumps back to the top of the list. It's very frustrating to use this way. Given the price of the premium subscription that I pay, I hope this can be resolved somewhat quickly. Happy to update the review after it is. Edit: Realized that the beta version of the app is available in the store, so I'm going to try that.

Sometimes the reliability of the app can vary (espc. delivery of messages). There's a lot of ads, the base app is completely free.. but some of the ads are very intrusive and misleading, make you go for about 7 clicks including closing the playStore TWICE, to make the cross button actually close the commercial. Continuous feature monetization and restrictions on the free versions are being prioritised to fixing bugs in updates. Also, still no #tags in my region?🫤 Would rank 4⭐ otherwise

Every update, the app gets worse. I have now run it ghost profiles, where when you click it to look, it opens the profile for someone else. Recently, it has started shoving people that are 150+ miles away into random spots like they are nearby. Plaqued with ads now to the point that it is quicker to close the app and reopen when one opens on screen. They constantly take away free features and put them behind paywalls.

New update is no good at all! Updated Oct 23rd.....It freezes, the chat doesn't type sometimes. Lots of bugs that need to be fixed with the new update. I am only able to do anything on the app after force closing it. Happens many, many times. It seem to have been working half decent before the update. The ads they have on this app is ridiculous. So many popups!!

Horrible. Click on 1 profile, and it goes to ad . Then leaves ad for price at top of screen, then you click to get it off, and it starts at the top . There is not enough range, and there are lots of fake profiles and ads every scroll and people leaving more ads . It has gotten way worse over time . If someone checks you out now, you can't even see who it is . It's simply horrible now . There are better sites like sniffes which so happens to be an ad on grinder so thanks for that .

With the latest update, a horrible feature or bug has returned where every time you either view, tap or send a message to a profile opened, you are sent right back to the beginning / start of your feed. Now, you need to scroll through a hundred profiles to find where you left off. Super frustrating and almost makes the app unusable. PLEASE FIX IT!

Every update the app gets worst. This last time they had a bunch of glitched fake profiles that redirected you to the first profile. And as a fix, now you get refreshed every time you interact with any profile and have to reload the app after every message because it freezes. Pointless to report because it will take three days to have them "ask to clarify" regardless of message, and then five days for a "better luck next update". Only fix is to restart which is a nightmare.
