Lego mountain

Finally done... This MOC was originally built for BrickCon 2008 and has sat in a "Mostly finished state for over a year taking over my LEGo table. It's time it goes, so I finished it off quick and here it is. I'm not particularly proud of the castle, but I think most of the landscping came together quite nice. Today we’re looking at a beautiful build by Marius Herrmann aka @steponabrick on Instagram. Taken straight from the screen of “Ghost of Tsuhima”, Marius captures the Arrow Peak Shrine with its sacred architecture and breathtaking landscape, especially the tree, which features branches that dangle from flexible hoses. I have been building small houses to get an Idea of how the town layout will connect to the Islands' geography. As expected modifications are needed. There's actually nothing left of the old Module 19. I basically just built a new one. The base needed to be a lot higher (around 8 bricks high now). Also the Islands' smooth coastline will evolve into a rough one with more reliëf and capes.

A year ago I went to a trip, and there was an amazing landscape. I never had enough pieces to build something like that, but I recently got one set and could build this. It doesn't look like I wanted to build and it doesn't look like what I saw, but I still like it! --------------------------------------------------------------------- The base is 32x48, so it's one of my biggest works for a while! Thinking I need some more trees and to dress the snow up around the climbers. I think the sleigh scene at the top is done. Also thinking about doing more with the inside of the tunnel to be more tunnel-like. It's currently empty on the inside. Some randomw thoughts on possible additions: *Snow ball being pushed by some sort of snow person over the top of one of the tunnel entrances *Powerminer-like-stuff on the inside of the tunnel that can be seen when the train comes around the bend on the…

We've all seen some nice LEGO rocks built for castles to sit on top of. Don't you want to build your own? Use this tutorial to get started. The basic concept is to start with BURPs and LURPs and add various bricks and slopes to cover up empty holes from there.

First of all I wanted to say thank you to everybody who helped me with this build by providing me great feedback and providing me some fantastic ideas, so thank you once again. Initially The build was going to be ww2 but I decided to change it last minute due to some complication. So hopefully you all enjoyed the build and expect some more unique stuff in the future.
