As a kid, I only knew of bayanihan as the act of carrying a house from one place to another by several men. Growing up, I became more attached to this Filipino culture because as I observed my every day life with the people around me, I was able to identify acts that help each and every one become a better person altogether, even if the action seemed insignificant.
