Kathy's Art Project Ideas: Galaxy Unit Astronaut in Space Mixed Media Art Lesson Astronaut Craft, Space Art Projects, Outer Space Art, Elementary Art Rooms, Astronaut In Space, Class Photo, Astronomy Art, Astronaut Art, Art Teaching

I taught this lesson to my 3rd grade students for their galaxy unit. I borrowed the class photo and enlarged it on a color copier to get the faces for the spacesuits. I used a 1 inch circle punch to cut out the faces before I taught the class. There is a lot to do in this lesson so I pre cut the coffee filter circles to make the planets also. You will need: Coffee filters Water Based markers Sharpies Spray bottle Toothbrush White Tempra paint Black and White paper Scissors Glue sticks I…

So I found this project on Pinterest where you draw a design in glue that dries puffy, then cover it with aluminum foil, and then polish with she polish. So I tried it, and I did a little three piece set with a galactic theme. Here are my finished pieces. If you want the instructions for how to make these, you can go here. This blog has really good instructions. They are the ones I followed. Thanks for stopping by, i hope you like it!

Mrs. Beth Dreyer on Instagram: "5th grade mixed-media ASTRONAUTS 🧑‍🚀🌖🪐 . 5th graders finished up these mixed media astronauts this week and they look (inter)stellar! From bubble wrap printed background, oil pastel blending, collage details, and a mixture of marker, paint and paint sticks on the astronaut, these artists truly got to experience the full realm of mixed-media. Plus, making our astronauts slightly raised off the page using cardboard really helps with the dimensions of the work. So proud of them! . . . #art #arted #arteducator #arteducation #arteducationmatters #artteachersofinstagram #artteacher #iteachart #5thgradeart #artclassroom #artclass #artroom #elementary #elementaryart #elementaryartteacher #elementaryartclass #elementaryartroom #elementaryartclassroom #elementarya Kindergarten Space Art Projects, Outer Space Art Lessons Elementary, Space Art Elementary, Outer Space Art Projects, Space Art Projects For Kids, Oil Pastel Blending, Inter Stellar, 5th Grade Art Projects, Glow Gallery
