Dead Trees Removed

Above, the trees before they were cut down. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

One project that needed to be done was the removal of two dead trees.

With fire season upon us, no sense in having fuel available to a fire. One of the trees was a pinon pine that was killed about two years ago by bark beetles. The other one was of a different species that had yellow leaves when it was alive. It died about four years ago.

It took the workers about an hour to cut them down and put the cuttings on a flatbed trailer. I fired up the fire pit to get rid of the smaller branches. Good thing I did as it was a little cold out and rain was in the forecast. The fire warmed us up when we all walked by.

As I didn't feel like cooking, I headed down to the El Rancho Hotel for dinner. The restaurant there was a bit busy.

It started raining as I was having dinner, but it tapered off while I was driving home. As I am writing this, it started to rain again.

Democrats Elect 2 Dead People, Plus Fetterman

It has been widely reported that Democrats use dead people to cheat in elections over the years.

Well, the following will top that. They elected two dead people, plus John Fetterman.

According to Headline USA:

(Headline USA) Democrat voters elected two dead people on Tuesday night, one in Pennsylvania and another in Tennessee, according to reports.

In Pennsylvania, Democrat Tony DeLuca, who died last month of lymphoma, was reelected over Green Party challenger Queonia “Zarah” Livingston. Election officials claimed that because his death occurred so close to the election, they could not change the ballots in time. Now, a special election must be held to choose a proper candidate to take his seat.

In Tennessee, voters elected state Rep. Barbara Ward, who died in October. Her funeral was held on Nov. 5.

She won 73% of the vote, while her Republican challenger Michael Porter won 27%.

“Memphis elected a deceased Democrat to the Tennessee state house. The Bluff City prefers dead Democrats over live Republicans,” said conservative talkshow host Todd Starnes.

Tuesday night’s election results in Pennsylvania were largely a disappointment, with GOP gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano losing handily to Democrat Josh Shapiro, and Democrat Senate candidate John Fetterman beating Republican Mehmet Oz.

Some Twitter users joked that Pennsylvania voters elected not just one, but two dead people, citing Fetterman’s serious mental incapacitation following a stroke he suffered earlier this year.

Michael Jackson Tops Forbes' Highest Paid Dead Celebrities List

Above, Michael Jackson.

Forbes has come out with their list of the top five highest paid dead celebrities.

News 18 reported:
Little has changed in the top bracket of Forbes’ annual list of highest-paid-dead celebrities since last year.
The five highest-earning dead celebs continue to be the same as the ones named in 2017 with a slight reshuffling in the second, third and the fourth spots.
With the total earnings of $400 million, a lot of which comes from the sale of his EMI Music Publishing stake, the King of Pop continues to rule unchallenged. Interestingly, Michael Jackson has earned $2.4 billion in the nine years since he died on June 25, 2009, aged 50, reports Forbes
At the second spot this year is Elvis Presley, who even after 40 years of his death, is known to move over 1 million albums every year. With an earning $40 million, he is two spots up from last year.

Trial To Bring The Dead 'Back To Life' Okayed

An interesting project to "bring the dead back to life" has won approval.

A groundbreaking trial to see if it is possible to regenerate the brains of dead people, has won approval from health watchdogs.
A biotech company in the US has been granted ethical permission to recruit 20 patients who have been declared clinically dead from a traumatic brain injury, to test whether parts of their central nervous system can be brought back to life.
