A biography of the merchant, slave trader and philanthropist, Edward Colston of Bristol, written by Rev. Dr Henry John Wilkins (1865-1941). While not the first biography of Colston, Wilkins' was the first to investigate and acknowledge Colston's close involvement with the Royal African Company and the Atlantic slave trade.
