we are doing some trans activism in the following months, tired of this country treating my existence as a clinical insanify i have to self-discriminate and beg for,, all progress is being led by activists and courts all while the government is turning a blind eye
lithuania has been nothing but ignorant of trans peoples rights since 2007, it took them 15 years just to make the name change process not require expensive and costly court procedures and they still gatekept it behind a "transsexualism" diagnosis, which ive been constantly suffering and dedignifying myself over since like 15, in an environment where i get death threats or other hatecrime just going kn walks
you still have to go through those same court procedures to change your legal gender on documents
this ridicule of trans people cannot continue uncalled out for, it is a clear ignorance of european justice court orders, systematic discrimination against transgender people, and a clear violation of human rights, especially for a country that positions itself as a progressive and freedom-loving nation "compared to regimes like balarus"
tomorrow i am contacting some orgs and i plan to escalate to government sectors, exchanges will be as public as i can allow it, because i cannot let this issue to be quietly swept under the rug,, if i managed to push for trans rights and recognition in school and work maybe i can do it for future national good as well
there are so many stupid arguments for why trans people shouldnt have human rights in lithuania and they believe every single one of those, scoring 5/32 on the TGEU index together with balarus, that lithuania pretends to be soooo much better than
one stupid example i heard from a politics person i know semupersonally, "well, my name could be trashcan, why wouldnt we place barriers on name changes" when cis people can just Go And Do That in like 1 day as long as they show theyre not trying to escape legal responsibility or sth
oh life update, uni applications are fully over and im def getting in ( my konkursinis balas is 8.67 so not TOO awful, could be better but eh ), i managed to even get a 100% on my IT exam which is awesome
what stresses me out is finances though i think i got it worked out now more or less
so while i dont spend over half my time in work i guess i shall continue planning for uni, budgeting, and resourcing, also i guess i shall catch up on projects and stuff so once i am in uni maybe i can get an IT job not uh This
with my results i will probably get into VU though i applied to 8 programmes across 3 unis, though VU's top choice, decided against VGTU as the top choice for ive heard that VU's programΕ³ sistemos is more rigorous than, say, VGTU's programΕ³ inΕΎinerija

anyway i feel like i am doing the most soulless, pointless, robotic work ever, all while the management pretends we are changing lives
it is seriously just retail work, and the management glazes it all as if its medicine, cancer research, something creative and life changing, when its just yelling bitter old customers, shelves, and same robotic actions for 13 hours a day for minimum pay
i am so hoping that i wont need to do this for long πππ
either way, experience is experience i guess, next week i SHOULD be okay but ive been on meds for like over 2 weeks now spending over 70 eur in total </3
while im sick i guess ill catch up on work i couldnt while working due to time, energy constraints, and maybe in the meantime ill be able to find a computer to bring that wont break after 2 weeks

I am currently Very Employed (I work 13 hour shifts for 4 days a week) and am barely able to work on anything. What is more is that my backup laptop completely killed itself.
The laptop situation is quite stupid honestly. I got it from a pawn shop because I needed a laptop for work and studies, and now 2 weeks later after purchase the seller is refusing to give back even a fraction of the money. 200 eur to waste...
Anyway, I'll get a new laptop eventually to try and get back to work. Give me like idk 2-4 weeks and I should be good :D
Putting this out there so you know I am not lazy I am simply Very Employed and got sold a shitty laptop that makes me not able to do work :(
