You are invited to perform a short dance that will be analyzed by a custom AI which suggests new, original phrases that are rooted in McGregor’s unique choreographic language.

In 2019, Google Arts & Culture Lab collaborated with Wayne McGregor to create an AI choreography tool for his studio. Since then, McGregor has used it within his creative practice to inspire dancers and act as a creative catalyst. The dancer performs a movement, the tool returns an original phrase and the dancer reinterprets it.

In 2025, we updated this tool for the Wayne McGregor: Infinite Bodies exhibition at Somerset House and made it available online for anyone to create with. The tool is a starting point, an invitation to open dialogues with McGregor’s archive and become part of the creative process.
