✏️ How to divide using an AREA MODEL ✏️

1. Draw a rectangle and label it with the dividend 132.

2. Put the divisor 6 as the width of the area model. Cut the area model into smaller parts/sections.

3. Think of how many 6’s are in 132. There are at least 10 groups of 6 which equals 60. (6 x 10 = 60)

4. Subtract that from 132. Continue doing this and moving to the next section of the area model. Subtract until there is nothing left.

5. Make sure to writ Division Anchor Chart, Division Chart, Area Model, Interactive Notes, Area Models, Base Ten, Math Numbers, A Rectangle, Anchor Chart
