Photograph of Queen Mary when Princess of Wales, seated. She holds a closed fan in her hands and wears the Love Trophy Collar, together with the tiara made by Boucheron in 1902 (dismantled to make the Delhi Durbar Tiara), the County of Surrey Necklace/Tiara, dismantled in 1913-14 and the Kensington Brooch. On her satin dress she wears the Royal Family Orders of Queen Victoria and Edward VII. Her dress is sequinned with pearls on the arms. Signed and dated.

CROWN~St Edward's Crown, 1661, is made of gold and heavy, weighing 71 ounces (2.04 kg). Initially, it was set with stones hired for the coronation and then reset with pastes so it could be displayed in the jewel house. In 1911 for the coronation of George V, the crown was permanently set with 444 semi-precious gems. The crown dates from the coronation of Charles II. Royal Collection Trust.

A red notebook in the Royal Archives at Windsor Castle reveals a whimsical tale of a motherless girl exiled to boarding school, written in diligently neat script by a 10-year-old Queen Victoria.
