In 2011, scientists did research about the different types of noses found in Europe and Israel. Based on their findings, a 14-type nose classification system became popular on social media channels. According to Israeli teacher Abraham Tamir, the majority of nose shapes can be classified right into one of 14 unique types, varying from the fleshy nose, which is one of the most common by a landslide, to the less typical snub nose and also hawk nose.
