Outdoor horse shelter

A paddock shelter is the ideal protection for your horses away from the harsh Australian sun. Purpose built for your land, you can be assured that your horse shelter will be built to wind specifications localised to your area, and can withstand mother nature. Built from BlueScope Australian Steel, you can be sure that your shed will withstand what mother nature throws at it. Manufactured in either the Brisbane or Coffs Harbour plant, all material is sourced locally.

Shelter to feed out round bale

12 x 20 horse shelter. 10 ft tall in the front and 8 ft tall in the back. We set 4 x 4 post and used 2 x 4s to frame it up. The top facial boards and rafters are 2 x 6s. We used 2 x 4s for the lathing. We used five 0.72 x 4 x 8 sheets for a kick boarder to protect the tin and horses. 26 gauge commercial high rib tin was used. Tin was buried 6 inches into the ground to stop hooves and water from sliding underneath. We also painted the buried tin with tar to help protect from rust.

In hot summer climates such as Australia, horses benefit from having free access to horse paddock shelters so they can get out of the weather.
