Greek theaters had large semicircle amphitheaters for the audience and could be built into a hill.  In the center of the amphitheater is an orchestra.  Behind the orchestra is the skene which served as a place for actors to change masks and costumes. Passages were also frequently used in Greek theater to aid elaborate entrances and exits for the chorus.
