Waaaay back in January it was my turn to choose a block for our do. Good Stitches group. Just this week I was able to get the quilting and binding done on the quilt. The quilt block is called “Whirled.” It’s an easy block that sews up quickly. 8/1/25 edited to add: You can find the Whirled quilt pattern here in the A Bright Corner pattern shop I chose a light blue for the backing and binding. Now that’s it’s finished I’m wishing I had chosen something a bit brighter – red or aqua maybe. But…

I started Dark Star (Sophisticate) as a sample to teach quilting. I love a feathered wreath and it is the star of the quilting here. The taupes are Japanese plaids. Subtle.
