🎨 Empowering Art Projects for Kids on Instagram: "You’ve got to learn about Judith Scott: Judith was a prolific fiber artist and sculptor who was born with Down Syndrome, and was mostly deaf and non-verbal until her passing. Judith spent the first part of her life in an institution in Ohio until her fraternal twin sister, Joyce, brought her to California to live with her family, and enrolled her at an art studio for adults with disabilities. In the art studio, Judith would collect found objects of all shapes and sizes, and then wrap and weave them with a variety of colored yarns. We love creating in the style of Judith Scott, so we made a project inspired by her art style! Just like Judith, in this project we work with twigs, found objects, recycled materials and yarn. Kids LOVE o Judith Scott, Empowering Art, Adaptive Art, Fraternal Twins, Art Projects For Kids, Non Verbal, Fiber Artist, Found Objects, School Kids
