At the heart of Salento, between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, three independent country houses share a Mediterranean garden with a swimming pool set between centenary fruit orchards and stands of ancient olive trees. Simplicity, authenticity, and the materialization of the owner's generational memories of Puglia drove the design by Andrew Trotter, who interpreted Puglian simplicity through the use of local materials, methods, and artisanal traditions.

The home he shares with his ceramicist wife Franca-Christina Christophersen exudes a special kind of toned-down, urban elegance.
