Conor Harris on Instagram: "Here is one of the easiest ways you can fix a pinch in your hip & hip flexor area! Usually this is caused by a restriction of the femur to properly glide within the hip socket. When we lift our leg, or bend our hip, the femur needs to start rotating forward in the hip socket. This progressively occurs more as our hip bends more. If the femur doesn’t have space to move, then ultimately you’ll run into something. This can create that sensation of a pinch, because your femur is literally being blocked via physical contact (impinged) and/or the hip flexor muscle is in a bad position to create more hip flexion, so it cramps. The fix is to create more space for the femur to move forward in the hip (external rotation). Here is a great exercise to do exactly that!
