Liz revives a Kiwi classic bach

The term ‘Kiwi classic’ is at risk of being over-used, but this old-timer bach on Auckland’s rugged west coast is just that. Built in the 1920s when Piha would have been a day’s journey from central Auckland, the bach features in early photographs of the area. It’s made mostly of New Zealand kauri with a flat corrugated iron roof.
