Corban's 7th birthday party was held at an indoor pool, so I felt it fitting to make his cake a swimming pool. I did the colors on the lane markers and flags just like the real pool. Nothing too fancy here.... Plain chocolate 11 x 15" chocolate sheet cake, frozen first, then frosted with white buttercream for a crumb coat, chilled again, then frosted again. Tinted blue buttercream for the piping and a little bit tinted black (add cocoa powder and black food coloring to get it black easier)…
