I already craft. Like to get messy with glues and paint. I'd really like to move on now to making my own wooden items/bases easy furniture etc. Where do I start on the toolside as I can't afford to buy everything at once. Thankyou 😘 (inc photos of my last creation)

Heather Whitworth on Instagram: "🫧 Bubble wand upcycle🫧. This is an awesome hack for inverting WIDE fabric tube strips with ease. I tried two different methods to cut through the plastic. I’m definitely going with the serrated knife 🔪 over the tin snips ✂️. The knife option gave a much cleaner cut and smooth edge. Total price to make this tool was $1.25 bubbles from the dollar store and $ .69 wood dowel from the hardware store (sanded to a dull point on one end). Time I’ll save inverting…. Tin snips work better, but most people do not have tin snips, so I want to give them the more accessible option of scissors that you don't mind ruining / that are already ruined lol

And while it's true that the aluminum can be sharp, it's really not that bad, like any art supply you should treat the material with appropriate care but don't let fear stop you from trying something new! 😁 (This is a response to comments elsewhere lol)

This is a precursor video to show the basic techniques so we can mostly skip over them in the upcoming project videos!
