The story behind this short album can be heard on a few of the live Brian Lopez bootlegs floating around. This particular version includes an extra track at the end, so, if you own the original, now you have an excuse to buy a second copy!

It was five years after this album was released that I met Dan Blakeslee in Harvard Square. A few months later I managed to track him down playing deep within the T and bought every album he had on offer. As the doors closed and we sped away, I lamented that the long sold-out Lincoln Street Roughs album was not amongst my new haul.

Years have gone by and I moved far enough away that scouring used record shops for it was no longer an option. Happy to finally have a copy to listen to. Thanks Dan!

Brian Lopez is so stupidly gifted that I don't even know what to say. Why is he not world famous? Sometimes the world just doesn't make sense.

K. & his quartet played San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts back in 2015 and it was remarkable.

While I have been a fan of Chicha Libre for a while now, I have only recently found Chicha Dust.

Fronted by the magnificent Brian Lopez, Chicha Dust is frenetic. Tucson should consider itself extremely lucky to be the home of Lopez, Howe Gelb, Calexico, & more.

This album is Live but a full length studio record is rumored to be on its way. Buy this and Brian Lopez's entire catalog. You won't regret it.

Anything by Dan Blakeslee, Dr. Gasp's mysterious alter ego, is worth collecting, especially the halloween themed limited editions.

Blakeslee's original cover-artwork deserves a frame & prime wall space.
