A striking, weighty, and glorious black metal album, partly due to the fact that it simply consists of excellently performed black metal songs. In addition to that though, the dungeon synth experience from The Moss Knight seeps throughout the album, adding a weighty, dense, hefty fog of atmosphere throughout. Bludgeoning (hammering hehe) black metal often gives way to chunky droning passages and contemplative detours. The entire release is steeped with a romantic, somber emotion.
