Oh my, Japan slaps. Standout track on a very good album! I love the vibe, energy, but also diversity of explored ideas.

Now that is some authentic, creative, progressive modern jazz like I'm always looking for! This album is one of these gems with its own unique character. I hope it's not the last from this band.

The singles did not convince me, but boy I was wrong. Absent Thereafter might be the weakest track, at least in my book. It could have been an unreleased B side of some earlier album.

However, this is more than made up for by all the new sounds and styles and unexpected directions that have been explored here - from abrasive to ambient. Way too early to pick a favorite track though, this album will need some proper digestion.

What is certain - it's a very solid and entertaining offering.
