  4. It's Always About Love
    by Ancient Infinity Orchestra
    The Seeker The Seeker
Their first release was already beautiful, so it came as no surprise, that this album is full of colors and love too. Great spiritual jazz from the Gondwana family once more! Brings joy in your morning and sunlight in grey days.
  5. Live at Union Station
    by Sam Gendel
    Cosmic Love Cosmic Love
Oh boy - ever since I listened to BlueBlue the first time, I'm fascinated of Sam Gendel's work - unbelievable, that he's in that clown core project too. An artist between lots of genres and bringing out something new and relevant (at least to me). Sweet live performance of an ambient/jazz set, love George Carlin text too!

    Pacific Ave Pacific Ave
Man this record is tasty! Even the voice of stereolab joins in for a track! Reminds me of mild high club, Broadcast too (and yet sounds totally like P+tO). Great summer album, great live Version of Konami and pacific ave on KCRW!
  10. Planet Pearl
    by Pearl & The Oysters
    Big Time Big Time
Love this album and the band! Get some trippy retro jazz pop vibes and be amazed by the lovely production and the catchy songwriting. Truly a Pearl (and some oysters)!

    Vitamin D Vitamin D
Saw them last Saturday on Maifeld Derby Festival - glad I discovered these guys! Psychedelic retro good mood jazzy space jazz pop something. Love it! Superb live performances also!
  12. Instant Holograms On Metal Film
    by Stereolab
    Immortal Hands Immortal Hands
A new stereolab release after so many years - and it feels like kind of a mashup of their past albums and styles. A well selected mixture between a lot of beloved ingredients - fits right in their colorful creative discography they have made before. Catch them on their current live tour, it's a blast!
  13. Expanding to One
    by Phi-Psonics
Sounds Of The Universe Sounds Of The Universe
Man this is just beautiful - sounds of the universe reminds me of early Matthew Halsall compositions and it's hard to pick a favourite. Phi-Psonics make their unique smooth, lively and flowing journey through the realms of sound - earthy and organic. A pleasure for my ears. Thanks guys!
  14. Electric War
    by Little Barrie
    Electric War Electric War
Yeah they did it again! One of my favourite drummers and guitarists joining in for another great album. If you're into vintage sound all over the place and some fine beats that remind of you of can's Tago Mago days and tasty guitar and bass licks, you should give this one a listen.
  15. Perfect Strangers
    by Lophae ("lo-fi")
    Greatfields Greatfields
I feel honored Greg! What an amazing album, great musicians and tasteful compositions! Much respect for bringing this beautiful jazz to life - love how the guitar glues it all together and how the melodies change between playful and serious and that unique flow you get when people play together in the same room. Keep it going and I shall keep listening for sure! Thank you so much!
  16. Doo-Ha!
    by The Lewis Express
Run Tell That Run Tell That
I love that Chip joined in for this album, they continue where they left it with the other two albums - groovy and smooth, bold and relaxed at the same time. Get yourself a ride on the Lewis Express and you won't regret it.
  17. A Paradise In The Hold
    by Yazz Ahmed
    Her Light Her Light
Wow it's so hard to pick a fav here. Yazz Ahmed did it again! Complex rhythms and great melodies with lots of instruments and in this one also a lot of vocals. This is as fine as it can get and if you haven't listened to the queen of psychedelic arabic jazz you have missed out one of the most interesting contemporary jazz composers.
  18. Motorpsycho
    by Motorpsycho
    Balthazaar Balthazaar
I can't fucking believe how long you guys are going strong already - so many years and you keep dropping these crazy progressive rock monsters. One should assume you'd run out of ideas at some point, but you keep going with this beautiful journey. Count me in for all future adventures like this. Definitely one of my favourite rock bands of all time (the live shows blow your mind 3 hours of madness).
  19. Inspiration Information 3
by Mulatu Astatke & The Heliocentrics
Chinese New Year Chinese New Year
At some point I shall have found all albums the Heliocentrics made - until then I keep asking myself, how I could have missed this gem. I love absolute everything about it and Mulatu Astatke needs no further introdcution I guess - a perfect blend and a vinyl that keeps spinning in my living room until the needle gives up.
  20. MYT
    by Moses Yoofee Trio
    BOND BOND
Man these drums. Fresh young jazz from Berlin, creative and genre bending. Instant love dudes!
