  6. Chewing The Fat

Groovy, playful, and a bit melancholic.

  9. PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation
by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
Fantastic concept album with insane mind-bending rhythms followed by meditative and melodic pallet-cleansing sections that retains its high-octane energy from start to finish. Pun intended.

  16. God is Good

Thebes is the quintessential Oм track, and I've been enjoying this band for so long that the lyrics are starting to make sense.
  17. When we were that what wept for the sea
    by Colin Stetson
I love Colin's signature musical style of the swirly, fractal meandering dance between serenity and rage. The kind of duality a lot of people will resonate with (often without fully knowing why they do) is conveyed masterfully here - and I think that's the mark of a great artist.
  18. Written in waters

    by Onségen Ensemble
    Naked Sky Naked Sky
This album truly shines when listened front to back as a full course like a classical concerto, and it deserves that honour too. Drama, suspense and catharsis are weaved together brilliantly into an hour long journey.

I love to observe how bands develop over time and carve out their musical identity and Onségen is certainly one of those bands. This album is my favourite of theirs, and the next one will likely become the favourite again.
