This is a stunning bridge between the industrial sounds I listened to in the '80s and other Eno-esque "music without a chorus and verse". They have put together great audio textures and brought in percussion on some tracks without burying the subtle electronic nuances. Smart music that stands the test of time!

It's a Coil album. I really need not say more than that, but I will. A one-of-a-kind electronic album that remains exciting over thirty years later. I love the acid-y techno bits and the vocoded vocals. Essential Coil album - essential electronic and post-industrial album. The title track is a masterpiece.

of the sara dale tracks 7, 8 and happy end are the most realised. volcanozo could easily find a place on a hypothetical 'greatest dark ambient hits' collection. theme from blue is a couple of really interesting ideas which could do with an extended edit and then there's the towering the hills are alive: one of the greatest pieces of experimental studio mastery ever tucked away as a hidden track. a mixed bag but there's some class stuff in here.
