The KD16 was a tough act to follow but the KD17 rises to the challenge. It shares many of its predecessor's most popular features, including a dual-density Zoom Air setup and the true-to-size fit. An enhanced radial traction pattern and stable cushioning system round out its performance features.

Retailing for $150, the Nike KD 17 features a forefoot Air Zoom unit and Nike Air cushioning. According to Nike, it is engineered to enhance agility and support during intense play, reminiscent of the ’90s era that inspired Durant’s basketball journey. In terms of tech and performance, it’s very similar to the KD 16, which was widely regarded as one of the best shoes released in 2023, setting up the KD 17 to be among the top shoes for 2024, as well.
