Adolfo Lopez (Texas)
Adolfo Lopez was a candidate for District 8 representative on the El Paso City Council in Texas. He was defeated in the special election on June 10, 2017.
Lopez was also a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 77 of the Texas House of Representatives.
Biography
Lopez earned an undergraduate degree in political science and philosophy from St. Mary's University, an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law. His professional experience includes work for the Dallas County District Attorney's Office and as the owner of his own law practice.[1]

He said he had not yet reached a conclusion about a proposed mixed-use development project on Shadow Mountain Drive in West El Paso, noting, "Just as I approached the arena, I would want to make sure it's feasible and bettering the city."[2]
