Deborah K. Ziech holds the at-large seat on the Joliet Public Schools District 86 Board of School Inspectors in Illinois. She was first elected to the board in 2003.[1]

Ziech ran unopposed and won re-election in the general election on April 7, 2015.[2] When she ran for re-election in 2011, she also ran unopposed.[3]

Ziech lives on the west side of Joliet. She attended and graduated from the Joliet Public Schools District 86. She and her husband have one son who also graduated from the district.[1]

Four of the seven seats on the Joliet Public Schools District 86 Board of School Inspectors were up for general election on April 7, 2015. The four seats included two East Side seats, one West Side seat and one at-large seat.

The seats of incumbents Deborah K. Ziech, Lorraine E. Guerrero, Tonya M. Roberts and Christine Kim were on the ballot. Roberts and Kim successfully retained their two East Side seats after defeating one challenger, Sammie Valadez. Guerrero did not file to run for re-election, leaving two challengers, Quinn Adamowski and Frank Cabreda, to run for the open West Side seat. Adamowski won the seat. Only Ziech filed to run for the at-large seat, leaving her to run unopposed and win re-election.
