James M. Love
James M. Love (1820-1891) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Iowa.
He received a recess appointment from President Franklin Pierce on October 5, 1855. On February 7, 1856, he was officially nominated. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 25, 1856, and received commission on December 21, 1856. He was reassigned on July 20, 1882 to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. He served until his death on July 2, 1891. Love was succeeded in this position by John Simson Woolson.
