Lincoln Almond
Lincoln D. Almond was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. He was first appointed to this position on September 10, 2004.[1] His judicial service ended on January 3, 2023, upon his death.[2]
Almond served as the governor of Rhode Island from 1995 to 2003.[3]
Biography
Education
Judge Almond graduated in 1985, with distinction, from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He then went on to graduate in 1988 with high honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law, after which he was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1988 and the Rhode Island Bar in 1990.[1]
Professional career
From 1988 to 1990, Almond served as a law clerk to Peter Dorsey. From 1990 to 2004, he worked as an attorney in private practice in Providence, Rhode Island, with a primary focus on labor and employment law.[1]
