Videt Carmichael
Videt Carmichael (b. February 26, 1950) was a Republican member of the Mississippi State Senate, representing District 33. He was first elected to the chamber in 1999. Carmichael left office in April of 2019 to serve on the Mississippi Community College Board.[1]
Biography
Carmichael earned his B.S. and M.Ed. from Mississippi State University. His professional experience includes working as a school principal and teacher.

Elections for the Mississippi State Senate took place in 2015. A primary election was held on August 4, 2015, and the general election was held on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[2] Chase Callahan was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Videt Carmichael was unopposed in the Republican primary. Carmichael defeated Callahan in the general election.
