W. H. Thomson (1856-1932) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

He was nominated by President Woodrow Wilson on July 7, 1914 to fill the seat vacated by James Young. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 21st, and received commission that same day. On February 21, 1928, he assumed senior status. He continued to serve in this capacity until his death on November 29, 1932.[1] Thomson was succeeded in this position by Nelson McVicar.
