VGM lofi is such a cynical space. Lofi, at its most basic, is extremely easy to produce, and with VGM as the basis, it’s very easy to find an audience. Further, as background noise, that audience is usually undiscerning, so there’s a ton of aural “shovelware.”
This is not that. This shit is excellent. The Dedede arrangement is so good it will make you sit up in your chair and say “holy god what am I hearing.” I have that reaction every single time I play it.
Also the vinyl is STUNNING.
